Cross country trip on the Transameria Trail. 3 Riders on Dual Sport motorcycles. 2 of us were on DR650s and 1 WR250R.
Took about 1 month to go coast to coast. We flew home and shipped our bikes from Portland.
Used GPSKevin routes mostly but towards Nevada started going off that trail to explore more of the things we wanted to see like: Bonneville Salt Flats, Redwoods National Forest, White Rim Trail and Crater Lake

That was some *A W E S O M E* footage! The upside: this was the ride of a lifetime, shared through video with so many that will never get this opportunity. The downside: pitching tents every dog-gone night (Ugh!), knowing you have to break camp early each morning in order to make time. All in all, this was a great video. But I had to mute it to enjoy it. That music is atrocious. But you can't please all of the people all of the time. I just wish I could give this video more than one "like". It deserves SO MANY more. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us through this video. It was such an inspiration.

Thanks for your comment. Yeah setting up and breaking down camp every night is exhausting but you get used to it after the first week. Yeah, sorry about the music...who would've thought looping it for 8hours was a bad choice. If I am ambitious enough, I'll re edit it for 4k and add better music...one day

Hey guys, really enjoyed your TAT video. You gave us a good idea of the terrain you traveled through and some of the tough spots you encountered. Gave the viewer a nice sense of what companionship is on a trip like that. I tend to solo, but I can see how nice it must be to travel with a tight-knit group of buddies. Well done.

Could have been a great video but they strapped the camera to their head. That makes for a seasick feeling video and nearly unwatchable for millions. the camera is always moving in relation to everything else around it with no reference point. Strap the camera to the bike, NOT the handlebar and you'll get much better video. You'd think after 15 years of KZbin this would be common knowledge now.

I did the full TAT at age 62 with a friend in 2019. Survived with bumps and bruises but no broken bones thank God, cause people do. The TAT is no joke. We modified Yamaha WR250Rs. You may want that smaller lighter bike and get in shape, wear all the right equipment cause you’re going to take some spills. The TAT is truly an awesome trip, one that you will never forget and when you reach the west coast it’s an unbelievable sense of accomplishment.

I rode from NC to Prudhoe Bay round trip two summers ago solo. Made a few friends on the way. It was amazing. Doing a trip like this with friends should bond you for life. Are you three still friends? Still ride together?
