Yes I played it a few times but I also followed it nonstop with Rachmaninoff and scriabin. Mereaux Prokofiev godowsky and Chopin etudes . Phew

@@Ash1nerTV He is, unfortunately though, he doesn't love playing enough. Had he had a truly deep passion, i genuinely think he could have become one of the best classical players in the UK. I knew from within two weeks of his first lessons he would be good..when he was 7 years old. I wish he would play more than he does. At a school awards ceremony, at the local theatre, when he was 18, he flew through Beethoven's 3rd Movement of Moonlight Sonata in front of 300 people. I was very proud of him. Have another son who also plays, not as good a classical player, but plays all sorts of music from Jazz to Bach to Pink Floyd...he really is a performer.

If the air condition is too strong though, his fingers will freeze up making him unable to move his fingers that fast, and just for the record, your fingers get colder faster because they are farther from the main central point of heat, and he has to make contact with the piano, so if the air condition is too strong it will make it worse for him. Also keep in mind, he didn’t just play one song to start sweating that much. If you watched the other videos, you’ll see he was playing all of the transcendental etudes.

It ends on a plagual cadence, the sense that it goes on after the hunters are dragged down to he'll. Hence the audience aren't sure it's ended, which is probably what liszt intended with his great sense of the dramatic.

I'm going to learn this. It'll be my third piece I'm learning; I started piano in October of 2020, and I'm sort of scared I'm undermining the difficulty of the piece. Either way, wish me luck, I guess. This is my favorite classical piece. Edit: Yeah no Edit 2: For those who saw this, I've decided to try my hand at Paysage, given how it's (relatively) a lot slower and easier, and is a lot more attainable of a goal than something like this monster of an etude.

Congratulations on trying Paysage! This is the correct decision I am sure. I wish you the best of luck. My piano teacher at the time was pretty happy with my Wilde Jagd, but certainly this was not perfect. Now I have been playing for three years, and I am happy to be able to play the even harder Mazeppa in a very presentable way now. This requires hundreds of hours obviously, not just for me. What is important is focus. After about 9 months I learned Rachs prelude in g minor on my own and performed it 3 months afterwards at a concert at my school, since than I have only played very hard pieces pushing my limits every time. Improving at this seemingly ridiculous speed is only possible like this.
