I think auctioning is an excellent idea. Angie showed us a piece axfew videos ago that she said was just sitting in her shop and not selling. But it was _beautiful_ ! She said she priced it at $125. I was gobsmacked. Auctioning might be a good idea - with a reserve, of course.

WOW!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Very Impressed Angie! Two beautiful transformations….just top notch….my father refinished furniture….I mean the no paint kind…stripping….sanding, staining etc….He would get discouraged from time to time because of course you never get paid adequately for the time and patience you put into a piece! I would just say Dad you will never get paid for the love you poured into it….but you have the satisfaction knowing you did a great job and your pieces turn out beautiful🌟🙌🏻 I’m 60 and boy I wish I had him here to teach me…he passed 24 years ago….I worked as a Nurse for 33 years and I have always had a love of old furniture….I still have a lot of pieces he did for my hubby and I when we were first starting out 40 years ago….I cherish them knowing the hard work he put into them❤️ When I hear the passion in your voice when restoring the pieces you do….it reminds me of him. So I’m retired now and I tinker and am enjoying trying my hand at it….thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion with us every week…I always learn so much😊kim

Oh, thank you so much Steve! To answer your question, yes, I scrape veneer tops all the time! It’s often safer than sanding old finish off them, especially if they are thing.
