@@seanoodles7008 Both are good games in their own regards, but I just have to go with Hollow Knight because of how much polish went into the whole thing. This is probably like the 40th time you’ve heard this, but the graphics of Bug Fables, do bring it down to some extent. Plus, there’s some other questionable game design choices strewn throughout the game. Obviously, none of it is game breaking, and Hollow Knight has its own share of problems. But weighing the two out, I think Hollow Knight does a better job overall (Bug Fables is better with certain things though still, like characters and quality of life)

Bug fables has better writing and the gameplay is way more dynamic, TTYD is held down by being a Mario game so it can’t really challenge the player as much but bug fables can make you experiment with the medal system, the party members are way more fleshed out than TTYD’s partners gameplay wise and story wise, the partners for TTYD only have interesting personalities in their chapters but after that they become overpowered tanks and colorful tools with only some good dialogue. It’s a big downside to having so many partners and only having one speak for Mario at a time. Bug fable party members may be a low amount but allow more strategy and more personality. TTYD has some terrible area design like in chapter four where you have to go through a few essentially hallways about six times or that part in chapter seven where you have to go every where to find a character while bug fables has none of that and the back tracking is short or optional

i can tell you as someone who likes to make remixes, it's entirely because there are no MIDIs made of the songs as of now, or not any readily available ones anyway This makes it really hard for anyone who doesn't do remixes that use real instruments Anyone who doesn't know how to play an instrument (or record one) is stuck trying to figure out the notation from scratch

You know what, I know nobody is going to read this, but I need to say it. This cover right here is the sole reason I discovered Bug Fables, and I can't thank you enough. It has become one of, it not, my favorite game of all time, and it's DEFINITELY my favorite Indie game of all time. Its one of the few RPG's I've wanted to see everything in. Every hidden detail, every line of text, all of it fascinates me to no end. It's OST is forever ingrained in my memory. Even though it’s impossible, I wonder what would’ve happened if Bug Fables had somehow outsold Paper Mario: The Origami King. Don’t get me wrong Origami King is great but I’m curious about the scenario. Also do Shogun Studios from Origami King.

Perhaps you meant to say, "Nothing removes it from having taken inspiration from the Paper Mario formula and improving it in certain ways, such as by having three set party members, each with numerous roles they can fulfill due to this game's equivalent to the badge system, encouraging the player to mix and match ways to combine the three characters' abilities and attributes so that each becomes much more powerful than they would be on their own."
