The best part about Jack's lesson's is that they might take you more than a second to learn and understand because they are goooood lessons. And then you schedule time to learn them and then your playing improves through the process and it's fun and rewarding and at the end of the journey you come out a better player.

Grant used a lot of the same phrases in his solos..he def had his favourite ones and I love the fact that he was able to utilise them in everything he did..Chris Cain is similar in the blues genre..same phrases and yet you never get tired of hearing them because they’re played with attitude and placed just right in the bar..my favourite grant solo is from ‘Miss Anne’s Tempo’.

have yet to hear anyone play with individual sound and swing as hard as the Masters and main Innovators without depending on mainly transcribed ideas from guitarists. The best were inspired by pianists and horn players ideas that felt good but maybe sound horrible on the guitar. The guitar is what it is and basically will not exceed technically what horns and pianists can do. So basically the ego has to be kept in check enough. There are some who have done what 99% of us will never do technically .Schools are a business ..artisty can't be bought just faked!
