​@@venezuelaanimations3732 My issue is two-fold: I don't like microphones OR trombones in drum corps. But the activity is dying out so hard that DCI and DCA merged back together after a half-century of hating each other's guts, so I mean I guess you gotta do what you gotta do... (also, arrangers, caption heads, techs and players used to work together to make sure you could hear a soloist without having to rely on off-the-shelf electronics meant for a stationary stage show or recording studio that can't reliably survive the jostling, dust, water and other rigors of a touring field corps.)

Most corps allow you to learn a brass instrument and audition on a woodwind! Or you could also do front ensemble
