Think ease of install is largely down to what you have left, I went with creations and it was nice and easy with not much in the way but I have pretty much everything deleted, super helpful video though thank you man!

Yea, it would definitely be easier if there were more items deleted. With everything virtually stock, it makes things a little more difficult. Glad you found the video helpful!

I bought the ECS turbo inlet pipe and lift intake kit looks exactly like the one in this vid, I ended up using some lubrication on the turbo end of the inlet pipe to more easily get it in without removing anything extra. I ended up using my own piping as well for the top of the diverter valve. I also broke the line left of the diverter valve,the other large connection to the inlet pipe. I saw minimal fluid and since it was connected to intake I ruled it was safe to reconnect it with glue and thick heat shrink tubing. I also did not trim anything but I will probably go in and cut down the MAF side of the inlet pipe, since it squishes the pipe a little once I have everything in. That being said the induction souns or Super worth it even with the busted knuckles and bootleg repairs on some lines.

Thanks so much for commenting! I agree that the induction noises are great, and for my car with a GIAC X+ tune it really settled out the delivery of boost through the RPM. I'm happy I did it, but wish it fit better. It seems like it would be pretty simple to make a part that fits correctly as opposed to what's being sold now. Based on your experience it seems like it's most likely the same manufacturer and everyone putting their name on it.

I have the ecs one to and it was east to put on the turbo well not easy but not to bad and the pipe is to long like you said I don’t want to cut it but I also want the intake to sit right

It's unfortunate that it seems like these are all made poorly. It makes me wonder what the APR one was like when they made it. I recommend trimming it. Otherwise it will start to pinch and not sit right and give you trouble.

I bought 200€ creationmotorsport oversize tip. There was no room to install it and money was wasted. Now ordered a smaller one from aliexpress, it should fit much better.

Hey Steve, I’m in the process of installing this inlet pipe but I also have to replaced my coolant hardline. Any tips on removing the coolant hardline? I haven’t been able to find a removal/installation video on that coolant pipe anywhere. Thanks !

You know... I have a video for the replacement of that hard line in my queue to edit, it's just been low on the priority list. Definitely don't wait for it, as it's not like I can get it out in a short period of time. I'll try and walk you through it here. First, disconnect all the hoses that are connected to it. I think there are three. Once you do that, there is a bolt on the front and the side. They're both under the pipe, so feel around under there to locate them. With those out, you should be able to pull it out of where it connects by the thermostat. That is a very simplified instruction on how to do it, it's a pretty big pain to get in there and get it out. Nothing impossible, just not a lot of room to work. Let me know if that helps or you have any other questions!

@@StevesGarage thank you for replying! This should definitely help! Just got two more questions lol. 1 it’s kinda hard to see where it’s connected from on the other end. It seems like it’s connected to a heater hose(please correct me if I’m wrong ) if so is it just an easy disconnect of the hose? 2 I read somewhere you’re supposed to disconnect the turbo oil line in the front of the engine to get the pipe out and with that I have to get an o-ring for the pipe and copper washers for the turbo oil supply line. Did you end up having to do that as well?

@@saintgaming8643 No problem, I'm happy to help. If you have IG, we can message back and forth there too. It's connected to one of the hoses that runs into the firewall for the heater core. IF you can swing it, I suggest replacing those hoses. You're in there, and it's an easy thing to do while you've got the coolant all drained out and the lines off. I don't think I disconnected the oil feed line to the turbo. If you do, definitely get new crush washers for the banjo fitting, but I don't remember needing to remove it.

As far as the 'butt-dyno' goes, I don't feel like the car makes more power, but it feels like it comes on smoother and faster. Not sure what you mean by the techtronics tune? I have a GIAC X+ ECU tune, and a Techtonics Tuning exhaust though! Happy to answer any questions about either one.

do u know if the 1.8t inlet pipe from forge fits a k04 for the 1.8t i cant find anything at all abt it. i have an AWP

I believe the 225hp TT uses a K04 with the 3in MAF, so you could probably use a TIP made for that car. A stock AWP has a K03, so I don't think engine code really matters if you're not running the stock setup.

I think it's just not the right shape to fit in there with the stock vacuum/pcv system. Which is honestly fine if it was sold/advertised as such. But it's marketed as an upgrade you can do to an otherwise stock engine.
