TRANSFĂGĂRĂȘAN road Romania TransALP 650 - S1. Eps.11

On the third day we are riding our Transalp 650 on the TRANSFĂGĂRĂȘAN road - S1. Eps.11
We woke up at 6:30 AM. We left Pensiunea Simar at 7 o'clock. We stopped in the area to buy Iasmina a good Latte Machiato from 5 To Go. Cheap and good, only 5 lei. (1 Euro)
The next stop was at a Rompetrol gas station where I fed 68 lei, 15L at 325km. (14 Euro)
The direction was Transfăgărășan, today being July 1 is the official day when it opened. It was also my father's birthday 😁.
It was a super floury, sunny, clear day, without wind. It was just good to fly our drone, the Mavic Mini. We climbed up to Bâlea Lake, where we took some photos, we filmed a little, then we went to eat at Bâlea Restaurant. We ate a bean soup 26 lei + bread and a pepsi 10 lei, a total of 36 lei. (7,5 Euro)
We passed the tunnel on the Argeș side. A dream landscape and beyond, the first part of the road quite ok, then to the Vidraru Dam, quite bad, many bumps and cracks in the characteristic Romanian style, full of sand and bitumen remains.
In our way to Vidraru we also saw a teddy bear, which was sitting on the side of the road and probably begging for food. 🐻
At Vidraru a short break, and after we descended about 15 km below to the Poienari Fortress. We climbed 1480 stairs and reached it in about 30 minutes. Admission is 10 lei (2 Euro) per person (Adults). Here too, a few short shots and I went down, it was very high, the sun was beating down.
After descending the 1480 stairs, we decided the same as in the case of Transalpina Road the day before. Namely to cross it back, but without stopping at the photo / video. Simply enjoy the road and the scenery. Less of the way to Capra Pension, where it's quite a disaster. Otherwise nice. Much better quality on the Sibiu side.
We arrived near Cârțișoara, at the intersection of roads where we stopped to eat at Motel Castel 2000. I eat two "mici" (littles) ones and Iasmina had a schnitzel with boiled potatoes (that's all they had) + a cola. 40 lei. (8 Euro)
We arrived in Sibiu at the accommodation at 6:30 PM. A total of 270 kilometers.
The fourth day, July 2. We went home, to Arad ... without taking photo / video of the route.
We left at 7:30 in the morning. I fed for 60 lei, 13.3L. (12,5 Euro) And we did 330 km to Arad.
Four days, a total of 1200km. 600 lei (125 Euro) for fuel and food, without accommodation for 3 nights.

Prea fain să fie adevărat. Ne dorim de multe ori să prindem așa vreme în Arad. Mega senin, și cel mai important fără vânt, nimic, zero. A fost ceva incredibil să auzi "liniștea" 😎👌

@@LutziferVideographer când l-am traversat eu cu bicicleta, era o ceață de nu vedeai nici până la prima curbă. Nu puteam nici pauză să fac fără să mă umple frigul. Dar a fost o experiență unică. Data viitoare merg și eu mai prin iulie, ca să prind soare ☀️☺️
