and now, to the art:
If you need an overview to my ingredients and the whole technique, you might want to watch this:
• A complete tutorial of...
My POURING MEDIUM
Behr Dynasty deep base semi-gloss and minwax polycrylic (roughly 2:1) from Home depot
And thinning to the right consistency with JoSonja gloss varnish (Dick blick, jerrys artsarama or Fluidart.co)
Paints mixed with my PM:
Firedots pigment - caribbean blue
Amsterdam - blue turquoise, oxide black
TLP - ball gown, taffy
fluid-art.co/ for TLP and SUP, Silicone mats, Palette knives etc.
The magic juice/Cell activator is mixed with australian floetrol. (1:1)
paints added:
amsterdam - oxide black
The wall paint I use for my PILLOW PAINT is Glidden essentials 'white' in eggshell
----------------------------------------------------------------------
THE SPINNER I'm using is my own design and creation. Every single work step is done by my hands and my table saw (operated by me)
I sell these on my homepage and if you want to up your game and create on big canvases, you seriously should check it out!
DISCLAIMER: It's a tool for serious artists, I always recommend getting a small , cheaper spinner to try if spinning is your thing first. After you've tried other versions, I promise you'll appreciate this guy over all of them if you work with big heavy canvasses and you spin all the time, like me.
For medium and smaller Canvasses, check out my new tiny and mighty Bäby spinner!

So beautiful Jessica,As always!! I tried this technique last night ( w/ the black on top of my paints) I think it turned out pretty good, nothing like urs but not bad for my first time trying it. I've been working on getting more depth in my pieces & like u I struggle w/ using way too much paint & pillow paint even when I'm mindful. I had wished for more negative space in the one I did last night, well that happens alot lol . Anyway I'll tag u in it when I upload it on my channel. I'd love some feedback as well. 🥰❤️

It seems to me that you offer such amazing insight and clarity about the technical aspect of the paintings you demonstrate. I am always amazed at how precise you are while at the same time flowing and really listening to, and feeling how and what the paint wants to do, which is an awesome lesson in itself. Maybe because of how you flow and and the professionalism you exude (even when your fabulous quirky self pops out) you make your paintings look so much easier than they are. It's a great lesson when you are casually talking and saying how you feel about the painting just how hard and difficult it can be and is. I think you teach the value of sticking with a technique, learning the nuances about the paint and the great joy when you love the outcome. You're a wonderful teacher. I've never done a transfer swipe but if I did one I'd want to learn from you because you are so thorough, out of the box and fun. So please don't change a thing. Also, hope you are not experiencing bad weather where you are. Stay safe.

You might struggle explaining it verbally… but Girl, your Talent speaks Loudly and Amazingly!!!! You are Brilliant ,.. and your personality makes watching you a Bonus Joy! My Biggest struggles are mixing of paints… not understanding what pillow, medium, the consistencies I’ve Finally caught on that you don’t have to settle for the result at 1st… I just allow the techniques to scare me I guess 😳😛 I ALWAYS look forward to your videos…you Rock! Hey my sista J.. Well to answer all your questions.. Yes always learning so much... And yes you are very understandable.. everything you are explaining when I see you starting to create especially doing it with this technique where you lay the pillow then a little bit of the colors and then the black and you are scooping up trying to get the colors underneath the black and then the transfer swipe I'm always amazed., It is a fine line because you want to have enough paint to be able to scoop it up when you need and then when you spin it out the transfer swipe expanded so much to cover most of the canvas.. knowing how much to put on whether it's the pillow the colors or the transfer.. I am still trying to get up the courage to try one of these for my next video can't be afraid I know that.. I think the fear of a failure is because of all the prep work the cleanup work and you want the perfect painting to come out from all this work you put into getting it ready and actually doing it.. when you get a painting all done and you're not completely happy with it I totally get where you're coming from... in your mind's eye you're trying to achieve something specific and yet you always do a phenomenal job .. Hope all this makes sense sometimes it's hard to get words out even though you know what you're trying to say.. I may not be able to take a class in person but I am ever so grateful for your videos and how you thoroughly explain yourself in detail by words and actions.. five words for you lady..du bist ein toller kunstler!!
