I see a salary cap coming before limiting players transferring. If you’re calling them “Student” athletes, they should have the option of “every” student. The NCAA doesn’t want to call them employees and pay them as employees. Pick your struggle.

The college transfer portal has already affected games won and lost, it's gonna get worse you're absolutely gonna start seeing top 10 teams lose five games in a season. when you go out and recruit a whole team and then the next year lose that whole team it's got to stop. I feel sorry for these teams that are losing 20-30 guys.

There is no doubt in my mind that my Texas Longhorns were not quite ready for the SEC in their first year. That's a fact. We know you guys don't like us (even though you will happily collect the money we provide) but we don't give a damn. We are completely used to people not liking us. We don't base our existence on your liking us or not liking us. One thing for sure though, we are just starting to build and everyone in here and everyone in the SEC knows it. We're coming. The Standard is the Standard............... I get it with your critique of the portal, I also think we need a cap on salary too. The opt outs are completely bullshit. Need to limit transfers and have a salary cap. That will slow Texas down. Have you guys heard anything about Carson Beck? Condition? Out/in? How is Stockton? Does he know where he is yet? Never wish bad things to happen to anyone so I'm not playing here but damn, Andrew Mukuba brings the pain.

When we move to a contract base rev share model, the portal issue will be less of a factor.

Contracts will be the key. Issue with the portal currently is that players are using it to leverage more money, there is no profession where someone can try and re negotiate their contract on a year to year basis.

Nwanerri couldn't beat out other FR on the team for playing time. He was behind NFL guys. He's 6'7" 260lbs. He's kind of a tweener. Too light for the interior, too tall & not fast enough to play edge. Maybe he could be a DE in a 4-3.
