I do exactly what you do, i have a level for each dlc/ main valley and i love decorating them to that theme. It's a bit tedious going back and forth so many times but having a nice room to visit every time makes it worth it :3

I love my themed storage rooms as well! Though if you forget things easily like me and forget to put something away it becomes even more work to put stuff away because I keep having to go back to rooms I've already been in!

When you are on your island if you go into the map, click off the valleys box, you can use the side panel to click on the villagers you need, as long as they aren't in the shop/house/restaurant they will appear at the well , just set up your snap and get them when they are all free.

I was going to suggest the same thing. Turn on a character on the map, and he/he will appear at your well every time you fast travel onto the island.

I was debating on whether to include that in my video. I played around with the map and it did work in a sense, but I have also have characters glitching when I 've done that on the floating islands. Some of the characters would come and you could hang out with them and move them, but also they would sometimes get stuck by the well, or I could walk right through them so I couldn't push them around into the spot I wanted for dreamsnaps. I'll have to try it again though!

I did test it, but when I did, I was having issues with characters glitching that way. Otherwise it would be the best way!

Oh gosh I can tell you spent so much time and effort making this for us!! I love it and will definitely use some of your ideas for my floating islands! Love the idea of a hub, mine is currently in the Valley/Forest of Valor

Aw thank you! I did work really hard on this so I appreciate your kind words! I used to have my hub in the Plaza where I lived but didn't have storage there or a garden. I have a makeshift hub in the Meadow but my Meadow is a disaster right now!. So I have to work on my new floating Island hub!

@ yeah I moved from plaza to meadows and now in the forest which I really like! I want to make it like an Anne of Greengables vibe for myself! But might do a storage/dreamsnap island on one of them for sure, as I then don’t have to demolish things in the valley just for snaps

These are awesome ideas! I just created a pumpkin farm on one of the floating islands and moved my farming character's house there. Next to create floors in my house for storage for each biome. This will keep me busy over the holiday break lol.

The “hub” idea is pretty cool cause it can be “lore” accurate if you decorate it to be like how the Forgotten would have it, it could be like the players’ quiet place 👀

Such great ideas! I'm on a switch so the item limits hit hard. I so far just have Merlin on an island and some furniture items. I've been finding it hard to think of ideas for the others! Thank you!! 🎉

Granted I might use one of the other upcoming floating islands that don’t exist yet as a storage area once those ones come to the game it’s just right now my forest floating island is my crop/garden area two or three of my floating islands count as a theme park like area the frosted one is a winter wonderland themed park area, my plaza one is counting as a Disney theme park area with the dreamlight library and my sunlit plateau one is a Halloween/fall themed area other wise I would mainly move alot of my storage chests up to a floating island if they would have given us more than 4 floating islands at a time

Fantastic video Lisa ❤ for me floating islands are just another reserved space for dreamsnaps 😅 I also am still not willing to decorate my main valley as I still want to save it for dreamsnaps in case I want multi level snaps or certain backgrounds/items not available on floating islands like you mentioned in your video. I do hope they add valley/biome presets one day so I can finally decorate without needing to consider dreamsnaps

Storage goals!! I’m 970 hours into the game, have been playing since launch, and my storage is a mess, I’ve started consolidating things to my floating islands for storage but it’s taking forever , I have over 100 Scrooge storage boxes littering all valleys and biomes of all the dlc with random crap inside 😅😅😅

It is easier to pick up storage boxes now though since we can move stuff with the items inside of it instead of having to empty out all the chests.

I have just 2 and a half floors granted I say half because I have my snippets -gems in a separate room/floor from everything else. But other wise it is mainly just 2 main floors since nowhere is big enough to keep anything and I currently don’t have a floating island that I can use as a storage area. But luckily I have all my gems and stuff going by Biomes to an extent. I just place stuff wherever I have room.

I only have one floating island because I don't get to play much and don't have the dreamlight magic available yet, but I'm using it for planting pumpkins right now!

The islands are great for a big garden! And they put out a hotifx so the rain will water your pumpkins now!

This is really funny because I’m using my plaza floating island as a garden/storage RIGHT NOW. I don’t like the chest because I haven’t unlocked or crafted the one with the most holding spaces

Yeah sometimes the smaller chests don't hold enough for what you want to use them for.

You can get a Daisys wardrobe from Scrooges that opens up. That has about like 48 spaces but even that one still ain’t big enough but it’s still better than the crafting ones

I had my storage broken out by type with all the DLC mixed in. I recently broke it out so now the they are divided by island and then type. I find this to be faster. Instead of going to 15 different chests to unload everything I picked up running around Storybook Vale, I just go to 3 or 4. Big fan. Only issue is that things like coal is in my DLV section and cinnamon is in my Eternity Isle section which means when I collect those in SV, I have to run over to those chests as well.

Yes I have to go between floors sometimes with mine being set up by Valley and DLCs. But for me I find that works better bc I like to have a lot of items on hand.

Yeah that would be nice. I wish we had a way that we could actually place characters in our dreamsnaps. As some other commenters mentioned, on the floating islands you can toggle characters on and they will show up at the well. However, I found that some characters would glitch so you may just need to be really careful and do one at a time with the map.

Thank you for your video. I've been searching my inventory for the item that was in your video at the 8:10 mark. It shoots water in an arch in the doorway of your storage room. Would you tell me the name of the item or the tags where I can find it? Sometimes trying to find things in our inventory is difficult.

I totally get it! It is the Ancient Fountain from the Eternity Aisle DLC. It's craftable at the timebending table if you don't have anymore.

I have my storage in my main house on 3 floors, i can cook and craft anything i want, anywhere i want.. I have been considering consolodating all to a floating island. Can a person still coo or craft anywhere they want or just on the storage floating island. I have not seen any tests on that.

Yes you can cook and craft on any of the islands!

Also same with why can’t we have a pets up on the floating islands up in their pet houses!? The floating islands feel less fun when they are this limited!

@lisabethgaming:I was thinking it had to do with no water being on the floating islands since usually only the pets can go in the main biomes but it could also be a bug since the game allows us to do the pet houses but the pets just don’t appear up there I just find it weird the game allows the pet houses only up there yet when people go to place the pets in the house the pets just don’t appear up there I just think it would be easier if the game would allow the pets to be up there since it allows their houses and it would be easier to keep all the pets contained in one spot I currently have all my pet houses in the forest minus the skin pets which are in the plaza I would just like to move alot of the pets to a floating island if that’s even allowed since it would be easier to give the pets their space that doesn’t take up the valley area space

Also I don’t know why they don’t do water on the floating islands for certain floating islands the sunlit plateau,frosted one and the forest one should at least have water to some extent even if you can’t do anything with the water like how can those 3 be a floating island without water involved like seriously they are suppose to a floating island that resembles the main biomes to an extent.

@lisabethgaming:I thought it was placed at one point since according to the game rules of Donald’s house or whatever Donald’s house is suppose to be the one house we can place anywhere we want as we progress through the game. Also the only problem with the homes is that we have to place them in construction zone areas for house which the game only has certain spots for construction zone areas for houses

I don’t know they don’t do just one big storage chest with infinity amount of space rather than 20 to 40+ spots or less in storage chests. Like where’s an actual infinity storage chest when you need it
