Last year I gave bio a dance 3 in one fertilizer and wasn’t as happy like he usually is. This time he liked his food I think 😁

Sorry about that. Could you maybe turn up your volume? I have increased the audio to 240% recording. I sounded fine in both of of media devices. Appreciate your feedback.

Your roses are beautiful. I have several of the same ones you have. I would like to know if you think the Emily Bronte and Eustacia Vye are very similar, so that if one has a small space, it may not be worth having both. Thank you.

Hello there! Thank you! The two are so different in so many ways, color of blooms, growth habit, and scents will give you good subjects of comparison,

Thank you for sharing your beautiful roses. I, too, am a David Austin rose collector. What is your secret to disease resistance, particularly black spot, as your roses’ leaves all look so healthy!
@IsshaGreenThumbing7 ай бұрын
Remove the infected leaf right away, discard and don’t use it for mulch or compost, Also when watering, don’t wet the foliage
@MargaretSwift-l2c7 ай бұрын
Thank you, I do remove affected leaves as I see them, do not compost them and do not water the leaves. Some of my roses are unaffected, some are more prone to black spot so am using a natural fungicide spray which is helping to control it.

@@MargaretSwift-l2c Good! I have a rose that is susceptible to black spot and no matter what I do, I still see some foliage getting it..it’s the moonlight in Paris, I am waiting for it to be older and more resistant as their health becomes stronger like what happened to my Gertrude Jekyll..

Breath taking!!! Please tell us what do u do to keep the rise plant diseases at bay like black spot, fungus...plz let us know.
@IsshaGreenThumbing7 ай бұрын
I don’t spray, I rely on balance bio ecosystem, I clean the base of plants so fungal disease wouldn’t be a systemic health problem

Beautiful roses. What is your most intense fragrant rose? I had a hard time understanding you.....

Right now the strongest smell giving is Gertrude Jekyll then Abraham Darby, thanks for the feedback

Do you do anything special to make their blooms so large? I have Golden Celebration and Abraham Darby, but they never have such large blooms.

when potted, change the upper 50% of its soil and give it fresh compost mix 50/50 of your own choice of potting soil then mix with generous application of bone meal , water, water then after a week I apply fish fertilizer.. water water water
@acasburn14607 ай бұрын
How often do you repot your roses ? Do you prune the roots. I planted 5 DA roses in pots last year and wasn’t very happy with their performance…I’ll give them another chance this spring.
@IsshaGreenThumbing6 ай бұрын
When re potting try not to disturb any roots or it won’t perform as well which is challenging to do, repotting they say should be done every 3 years, haven’t done that, instead just remove the top 50% of soil and refresh with new compost

Do you have any suggestions for companion plants for roses?
@IsshaGreenThumbing7 ай бұрын
My personal pick is anything blue or purple flowering would really give highlight and it’s a plus if it deter bugs like rosemary, lavender, etc

There's a world of roses apart from what Austin has produced...especially when it comes to other shapes and growth habits. Find it strange when people start and stop rose collections with their hybrids. So many amazing historic cultivars and central European and French varieties to pick from.
@IsshaGreenThumbing7 ай бұрын
I saw some, really beautiful EU varieties. it’s a matter of availability and hardiness in my climate.
