I put thunder torques in my old V&H short shots without baffles, they genuinely did increase low end torque. The short shots without baffles made the bike feel weak down low, you guy's thunder torques brought it back without making it quiet, which is exactly what I wanted

I took my bike back to my local Harley Davidson dealership to have a leakdown test done before the two year warranty runs out and it looks like my bike is getting the top end rebuilt for FREEEEE! My bike has over 17,000 miles on it so far. I would not have done this is I had not watched your videos, especially the one about HDs failing leakdown testing.

@@DKCustomProducts Attention to Kevin: 2022 Harley Davidson Road Glide ST, they are not sure what is the cause of oil leaking into the combustion chamber, but it will be getting a top end rebuild. In the future to hopefully prevent this issue I plan on riding the bike a little less aggressively. As soon as I know what went wrong I will post back more details. The bike will be going back July 1st for the repair when they have the parts in. Until then I was told that I could still ride the bike but to take it easy. I live in Pennsylvania and I ride year round. Eventually I will get your oil filter relocation kit to go with the finned reusable oil filter I bought from you guys.

My 2008 Harley Softail has Rush slip ons with Big City Thunder baffles. The bike runs good (has aftermarket cams) and a Powervision canned map. I have 2 questions - first will the inserts quiet the decibel level any? The bike sounds amazing at idle but at throttle in my opinion is just too loud. Also, will I need to load a different map in the tuner? Thanks for the very informative videos!

If you feel that your current exhaust is too loud, the Thunder Torque Inserts™ will noticeably reduce the decibel levels. The Patented design will produce a bit deeper sound/rumble all the way through the RPM and Throttle range. If your tune is already good you will not need to retune just from installing TTI's. If you just gut your OEM Exhaust and put in the TTI's you would not need a re-tune. If you have a TC and upgrade your Exhaust you will be running too lean and will need a tune. Of course after any changes you make you can get more performance from tunning, but it is not necessary with just gutting the stock exhaust and installing TTI's. M8's can upgrade the exhaust and the intake without needing a re-tune. Either way will work for an increase in torque. 99% of the time, removing as much restriction, such as the baffles, as possible and using only the TTI will produce the most power, but you will gain Torque just by installing the TTI's into your baffles as well. To determine the correct size TTI you would need to measure the inside diameter of the baffle or the slip on, which ever you choose to install the TTI into. I put tti in my cobra neighbor haters on my 22 street glide stage 1 :-) i removed the baffles first got louder that i wanted but could immediately tell lost alot of bottom end torque:-( called dk customs and you guys told me exactly the tti size i needed :-) put then in got my torque back plus awsome sound :-) totally recommend tti and dk customs know what they talking about :-)

You can remove the baffles and packing and your exhaust will be louder, but you will lose a little low end power. If you install the Thunder Torque Inserts™ you will get back your low-mid range torque and have a deeper tone. Dang! The gutted factory with TTI's sounds great! I like my TAB slip on's with Zombie baffles but probably would not have spent the money had I tried this first.

I love watching your videos, learning, and getting new ideas on how to improve my bike. QUESTION: I just installed the TAB PERFORMANCE 2.5 LOUVRE SLIP-ONS on my 2023 Low Rider ST. They sound good but really like deeper tones. What size TT's would help with that? Do they include install instructions because I'm still not sure how they would be installed?

What baffles do you have? Are you planning on keeping the baffles in? Please measure the inside diameter of the baffles. If they are less than 2" you will need the 118, if they are 2" -3" you would need the 158. Well, being new to Harley, I guessed what to do so i only had to pay for one dyno tune when i put a torque cam in. Before i knew about TTI. Swapped to S&S slip ons, now too loud. Damn.

Ive seen your videos on the stock M8s not needing a tune. I have a stock 2024 Harley Heritage 114. It came stock with a high flow filter. If I put Tabs with the 1.75 and the TT's, would it then need a tuner? I know it would run better with one but I don't want to void the warranty.

You do not need a tune for your M8. The M8's do run great from the factory, and still run great after upgrading to a free flowing exhaust with TTI's. Getting an after market tune would maximize the performance, but is not necessary. I cut the baffles out on my 2013 streetglide. But now that I own a 23 Roadglide-ST that wasn’t an option for me. Those big, ugly and extremely heavy factor pipe had to go. I put a smaller, lighter, 2into1 race pipe. I’m after maximum power and torque.

The cat's sole purpose is to absorb and filter toxic exhaust emissions. It has been our experience that removing it will have no measurable effect on engine longevity, engine temps, or performance (positive or negative).
