Hi there Great tutorial - thank you! I own a 3 storey townhouse and we use devices on each floor. I have fast 5G network home internet [around 340 mps] most of the time but the signal sometimes weakens on the bottom and top floors but always good on the middle as this is where the modem sits. I'm thinking of getting 2 of these wifi extenders - 1 for the ground floor and the other for the top floor. What are your thoughts on this please? I'm guessing the coverage will be better but will they slow down the high speed?

I live in a 3 storey townhouse as well with an HOA that pays for our internet. The modem is installed in the basement with no way to move it. My computer is setup on the top floor and the internet speed is horrible. Would buying this increase that speed or is there another device I need for this scenerio?

Instead of wifi extender, I might suggest you to lookout for wifi mesh, works way more better than extender

What matters is not just the number of floors but also the sq ft of each floor. I would take a really long cat6+ ethernet cable from the main router and get it to every other floor. Then plug in this WiFi extender on each floor to the respective ethernet ports. That way you get the best WiFi extended on each floor. Then based on how wide each floor is and how many walls and furniture interferes with the WiFi, you might need another extender on each floor.

No, it simply increases the signal REACH. It will not magically make your speeds faster than what plan you pay for.
