This is the best use of inktense that I've seen! I started out with these and ended up getting regular watercolor paint afterwards. This makes me excited to use them again!

I’m so glad you think so! I must say I loved using them! I hope you enjoy using them again as well.

@@KarenRiceArt I do love the colors of the inktense for sure! I bought the caran d'ache palette for the pencils. You can scratch the pencils on the surface and then use water to activate on the palette.

Smashing demo Karen! These products frighten the life out of me because they are so strong, but you have tamed them brilliantly here 👌. Would love to see more … perhaps a floral …

This is a stunning demo, I love how you incorporated the different kinds of inktense products to show all of them hands on. I do own the pencils and normal sized blocks and you inspired me to play with them in a different way. You greatly turned the "downfall of leaving the texture marks behind" into a purposefull effect of bringing the elements to life! I was pleasantly surprised by your idea to shave sparkles of paint with the tea strainer, never in a million years would I have thought of that. All in all I really enjoy your attitude and would love to see more inktense tutorials in the future.

Beautiful demonstration. I’ve had the pencils for a while and have been lost as to how to best use them. Recently, I’ve started using the super bright colors to add finishing touches to a piece and then just spritz with water to activate-no blending and give a nice pop.

Thanks for sharing, Karen. I really enjoyed this tutorial. I am obsessed with the Cliffs of Mohr and your painting is spectacular. You were able to achieve the texture in your painting that I have always desired but have struggled to get. I’ve been thinking about adding watercolor pencils to my collection. I especially love what you created with the ink blocks…I may have to consider them, as well.

Patty-I was so happy to see you using the Inktense pencils with the block and the pans. They are so different from watercolour. I love the result. I may try my own sketch, but try your technique and see how I do. Great job once again.

Beautiful result in experienced hands . Not being able to lift out highlights can be countered with masking. The colors are really intense and wonderful. Thank you for demonstrating this new medium ❤

I got a 12 pan set and a 24pc box of Inktense pencils with the intent of using them as the base layers under coloured pencil. While I am still doing this, I am fairly certain that I could have used just the Inktense so in my next painting I will do that. I love these so much! 💗
