If some people likes running, you could be loving paddling too. I used to hate paddling until I fixed the way I was thinking. And now surfing is much more enjoyable even on days my wave counts were low.

Paddling as a movement or exercise is so unique that if you stop doing it for a month or two, it is enough to be exhausted on the first session back. You can be very fit, working out at the gym and running, but paddling takes time to build stamina. Dan could you make a video about recovering from injuries?

Totally agree!! Last week I didn't surf as it was flat at home, and even after a week or so of not surfing, I noticed how sore I was on the first session back haha!! And that's with training and going to the gym while it was flat!!

After a flat spell or time away from the ocean my paddling goes to shit, norm takes me a couple of weeks to get back on form. I’d love one of these videos on maintenance of paddle stamina or to be pointed in the right direction, the internet is a minefield. Also nice to see yea branching out from travel stuff

Thanks for the great tips, Dan. Do you have a theory about fingers together or apart? I believe apart means you're potentially catching more water with each stroke? Plus it's less stress on the fingers than holding a cupped hand.

A lot of people don't learn to lye on or paddle there board properly properly it's evident even when they have been surfing for years it's really important to get it right from the beginning if your doing it right when you lower your head to catch your board will trim nicely. If that's a good way to put it

Buy paddle bands and do regular workouts when not surfing. Huge difference in endurance
