Thanks for this overview, Dave. Having never used FilmPack, I did not know it had a built-in editor. That leads me to a question about order of operations - do you apply any edits in Photoshop (Camera Raw) to the photo before going out to FilmPack? Would you say the editing within FilmPack is really only for adjusting the FilmPack effects? Would you recommend doing all of my edits in PS first before going to FilmPack as a last step? Thanks again. I think I will get a free trial and experiment with the looks. Sounds like great fun for a cold winter day or two (or three...)

You're very welcome. Sometimes I use FilmPack to add effects to already processed images like I did in the video. FilmPack is a very capable editor all by itself. However, my workflow is Lightroom for basic edits, then I send the image to Photoshop, and then send it to FilmPack as a PS plugin. I use FilmPack to get the look I want and do some more editing there. After FilmPack, I send the image back to Photoshop to finish the edit.

Very interesting Dave, I was tempted when I saw the advertised "Enjoy a lifetime license with no limits, subscriptions, or hidden fees" but then see that they charge for upgrades to new versions of the same software so not exactly "no hidden fees"

I sort of agree, but being realhow can any company stay in business without charging for the new versions, and the cost isn't that bad in comparison

Thanks Dave. Two hundred eighty something presets! Yikes! I'll be frozen with indecision. 🤣. I'm going to give the trail a try. Have You found a couple few presets that are now your favorites? If so do you want to share?

Can't really say I have a favorite; it really depends on the image, but it's fun to experiment.
