The item that you reviewed looks awesome and is very affordable. I use a wireless Sena headset attached to my helmet, my Android smartphone in my pocket with te Royal Enfield app and theTripper for navigation. This also works with Google maps and routes can be recorded and stored now. All is connected by using Bluetooth. I can make phone calls by voice dailing too and pick up call by just shouting something in the microphone of the headset. I can also listen to music from my phone what I rarely do. I really like the Tripper for navigation which lookes somewhet old skool but also sends spoken instuctions to my headset.

Yes, looks like I have to get a helmet comm now. I really liked the Tripper also. 95% of the time it worked well. But in Bangkok it failed, as too many turns in short distances got confusing. I may have to replace the Trioper with a Rev counter now 😂👌🙏

Good morning Teacher T. Yes that looks a nice bit of kit indeed. I've been using my iPhone and ear plugs for ages when I'm on a distance ride. Love listening to Trance musing compilation albums via the net. I find I concentrate harder? Like that rear view option as well. My bike is off the road until the new year. Flat front tyre. With my usual bike shops shut now until Jan 1st 2025 I thought I'd call a mobile mechanic. I nearly grabbed my chest at a quoted price to volcanise my tyre! I would have lots of change if I bought a new tyre - just over £200! So I will wait, grrr! I enjoyed watching this vid 🫶. Stay safe and see you in the next one 👃👍...

Ha ha. Good evening Les (7 hours ahead here). I does sound like you need a tyre pressure monitoring system. 😂. I do have to top up at least once every month here. Still on the original tyres at 15,000 km. But feel I will change them soon, for better grip and comfort hopefully. They are very hard. All the best for the New Year. And your new tyre. 👌🙏
@leswatson856319 күн бұрын
A tyre pressure system would not have helped me. I was about to turn right, when I noticed cars in front pulling left. Now committed into my tight turn when my heart sank. It looked like a builders bucket had been dropped all over the road. Screw nails bear bottle tops and broken glass. I parked up and dropped my letter into my GP surgery and as I mounted and turned my handlebars the front end was very heavy. I just knew! But I put the front break on and pushed the front forks down and my front tyre said it all. I still rode her home. Once in my garden just 8psi! Of course if my chemist had done it's job I would not have gone to my GP requesting meds that I ran out back in November! Nothing works in the UK now 🤷.

By the way Teacher T. I'm running my tyres on my Super Meteor at 41psi front and 38psi back. The manual I downloaded claims 32psi front and rear, and loaded or two up 36psi back. A Royal Enfield vid says 41psi front! Just like the bike shops keep saying. And must say that bike leans into corners and holds the line so much so I grounded the right footrest cornering a large roundabout in Cornwall 🤘.

Wow Teach, can’t believe you are running those tyre pressures. I know the hand book says 41 front an 36 rear, but I’ve got a 2016 Triumph Speedmaster, which is heavier the the Meaty an they recommend 28 36 respectively (she’s up for sale) I’ve got 24 super meaty an run it 28-34 I run beautifully with no weaving at any speed, also reduces the harshness in the handlebars. @Teacher-T-Thailand17 күн бұрын
That’s a very good question. In short the answer is yes. But I do find my battery lasts 10 times longer than it did using the RE tripper. You will be using data and Bluetooth only. Not the gos in the phone, or the phones’s display on. The phone doesn’t get hot, and I can navigate for hours without charging. Unlike before where it was 30 minutes max. Hope that helps, and thank. 👌🙏

Explanation of the 3 power wires. Black earth, red was to feed the clock and present radio stations on car radios, as car radios has no memory battery. The Yellow wire was for powering up the radio, but sence the C6 has no memory, no need for 3 wires, that's why it's no longer there.

Thanks for the detailed view, Mr. TTT. It's a smart investment that makes riding smoother without needing to touch your phone often. However, I have one concern-there should be an instant removal clip system to easily detach the smart accessory after the ride. This would address theft risks and protect it from harsh weather conditions like rain or subzero temperatures, which could lead to malfunctions and reduce its lifespan.
@Teacher-T-Thailand18 күн бұрын
I think any potential l thief would take one look at the 4 fixed cables coming out of the back of the unit, and realize it's pointless stealing if you have to cut wires. Which it is. Nothing would work, unless you dismantle the bike and remove carefully. So not an issue in my view. You are right about the weather, and I have already come up with the idea of making an elasticated rain / sun pouch for the display. 🙏
@ajithkumar986018 күн бұрын
@@Teacher-T-Thailand Yes, I agree with you. I’m from India, and while it may be difficult to dismantle the display unit, any attempt to remove it could still cause physical damage. Plus, I wouldn’t want the bike to draw unnecessary attention when parked in public. That said, it’s a great recommendation to suggest to the brand-maybe they could offer an add-on accessory with a simple clip mechanism for easy removal. This would enhance usability and security!
