Transformer Noise Reduction

Transformers generate low-frequency humming noise. The noise frequency is typically 60Hz and 120Hz. This video showed the noise level before and after the soundproofing treatment. Walls were lined with a sound absorber, Megasorber P100. It is 100mm thick sound absorber with a water / fluid repellent, non-combustible and sound-absorbing Soundmesh G8 facing (grey). It is specifically designed to absorb low-frequency noise and for outdoor applications.

I am bothered with a sound like this now at around 35-50HZ.. Can this also be from the transformers? Especially hearable in the nights..

How can you call that a sound comparison when it is taken from two different places? Standing behind a jet engine is a lot louder than standing in front of it from equal distances.

A-weighted decibels, abbreviated dBA, or dBa, or dB(a), are an expression of the relative loudness of sounds in air as perceived by the human ear. In the A-weighted system, the decibel values of sounds at low frequencies are reduced, compared with unweighted decibels, in which no correction is made for audio frequency.

@@HeliModTRC ...which is exactly the problem with using A-weighting; people are not standard and many can hear low-frequency noise better than A-weighting presumes.
