One very safe way to test is to put a Tungsten filament mains bulb in series with the input .... should you connect the mains to a 6 Volt winding ... the bulb will safely light up avoiding damage ( tried - n - tested ) ..... DAVE™🛑

Hello Bob, Should most transformers from SMPS and small DC to AC inverters react this way when near a powered AC transformer? I have one that does not seem to.

Yep! Just think about it: With a pen, pencil or marker, we can create anything in paper, and later convert it real. ...but everything starts and is possible to create with a "magic tool". ;-)
