I like this movie because we see a whole new side to Optimus that we didn't see from the last 3 movies. in the first movie, Optimus was extremely devoted to protecting humans. in the 2nd movie, Optimus is even more convinced that humans deserve to be saved, and he gives his life to save Sam. in the 3rd movie, his loyalties were tested, but he ultimately chose humans a 3rd time. in this movie, we finally see Optimus reach his breaking point. he,s been pushed so far back that when he meets cade, he acts like a bitter war veteran who has lost all hope and only calms down after he realizes that cade is the only reason he was still alive. he entertains the idea of leaving the humans to their own devices for real this time and you can tell that he,s serious by the tone in his voice. Optimus mainly helped humans this time around because dispite everything, he grew to like cade and grew a soft spot for his family. they were likely the first humans to show him genuine kindness since Sam and that could have been years ago. age of extinction showed us that even an optimist like Optimus has limits and he can be worn down eventually. I think this was nessisary for his character development. if they made him blindly loyal to humans through all 4 movies, it would be boring. this was Optimus at his most ruthless and most unstable. it was his lowest point, but he didn't stay that way. cade gave him hope that humans were capable of change.

Brains was the decipher of their language so THEY DID NEED THEM. THEIR DUMB AND STUPID FOR THINKING GOING ALONG WITH THIS WAS SMART and that’s not the worst part there’s a billboard that says REMEMBER CHICAGO and you want to know what I remember. The higher ups of the government making a STUPID DECISION and sending the autobots away thinking Oh with them gone the decepticons who want to take over this planet will leave with them WRONG Starscream was later seen blowing the ship up then the Decepticon’s plan was in motion and the other Cybertronians were brought to earth and started terrorizing and EVERYONE WAS DYING. The military couldn’t get in and even if they did they wouldn’t have made it far of not for Optimus and the other Autobots they would’ve died and the Surviving Humans would be Slaves to the Decepticon’s and Sentinel Prime.

@@Euripides_Panz I mean that's the point I'm trying to make, the humans (at least the side politic character ones) in this series can't tell if the decepticons are telling the truth, but when its the autobots there like we hate you without a second thought and the autobots are not even given chances to prove to themselves, that they are more than war machines. I mean its the one thing its shown that the autobots at least can help rebuild earth in the original cartoon but in the films, almost like if they given the Sokiva Accords (I spelt it wrong) and they'd just blast the accords and accept being hunted for the rest of their lives on earth which some would rebel. Moral to the story, the autobots need to be respected more in these new films, I don't understand why the decepticons are forgiven in later sequels and treated as different like they are the Suicide Squad but the autobots are the bad guys I mean its been like that in some of the cartoons and at least they are treated as friends at first.

Sometimes it definitely shows that they were more concerned with getting their projects produced (funded) marketed, and cover the expenses like animations, sets, locations. They painted themselves into a corner killing Megatron in TF1, "destroying" the Cube, especially the ending of TF3, where Sentinel had almost everyone convinced Cybertronians couldn't be trusted, the devastating occupation of Chicago affected everyone, yet even that was road rash compared to what wounds could be sustained as long as Earth had something of interest. Having Megatron offer a genuine truce would have opened the doors wide for different trilogy but they killed him AGAIN as if they were content ending the story there. This opens up the depressing setting for TF4. Earth still isn't united, but generally blames the few surviving Autobots for their woes. Officially, the US government was on good terms, oblivious to rogue operatives and KSI conspiring to commit murder, unsanctioned terrorism, and assassination of any Cybertronian not in custody. Cemetery Wind was evil, although a clever adversary, depicting the darkness of humanity that lingers while humanity should be uniting. They show what greed, corruption, hatred, and prejudice can do to compromise public servants. Posting rewards for information on alien survivors appealed to the meak trying to make ends meet.

Over the years of seeing what his brothers are capable of and losing friend after friend, Optimus can be as ruthless as the most brutal Decepticon. Megatron has seen firsthand his anger when Prime's forced to make the big decisions. He knows Prime is dangerous but can be provoked into imminent peril with insults and threats to those he tries to protect. He's also aware all his plans could come to ruination when Prime, himself is focused on destroying Megatron, who normally fears nothing.

That too, in my version I would probably make cemetery wind be funded by LexCorp as a crossover. Like when LexCorp despised the autobots and decepticons and other alien species, and NEST, the autobots, Simmons and his butler fight against LexCorp and it’s contractors.
