Transformers Devastation WR NG Commander (Hard)(

This was the 10th attempt at a run of Transformers Devastation on Sony Playstation 5 new game commander (hard) difficulty and was by far the best smoking my PB by over 30 minutes. Had really good luck with the Freeze Assault Rifle and a sniper rifle dropping early and then got extreme fortune with S Rank Devastator Drills dropping as an end of first level reward instead of the usual B rank. Lost a solid 7-8 minutes from a few early deaths in stage 1 but took full advantage of the generous RNG in the last 6 stages to crack under 1:50 easily. This run can eventually get under 1:40 with a perfect run with similar luck but I'm very content considering this took me over 4 hours first attempt a few years ago and again last week. Also happy to finally get a run featuring Bumblebee and not just Optimus Prime.
Motormaster and Blitzwing were extremely clean SS rank fights I'm proud of in this run. I really love this game and wish we got the rumored trilogy. Thank you all for watching!

I absolutely loved this game, always dreamed of a 2D beat em up like Streets of Rage with the classic series villains at the end of each level and this game delivered in full 3D looking exactly like the OG show. It’s a shame it never got ported and was delisted so fast due to licensing, I feel like it would have sold well long term since this game will always look excellent and play well. Glad to see others loved it too!

What a fun run to watch! Those S drills were insane. With a good early game this run could have been in the one thirties. I'm looking forward to watching you continue to push this category to its limits.

Thanks, took quite a bit to get a solid run in this. I hope MS is able to at least make this purchaseable again after the Activision takeover so more people can experience it!

Yeah it’s a shame the Activision licensing deals were so bad so this was only on sale for a year. This game is so fun and would have definitely been discovered after the fact If available on digital stores. Probably my favorite Platinum game along with Metal Gear Rising, glad to hear someone else loved this as much as I did!

Yeah If you can get a physical PS4 copy, it works on both PS4 and PS5 with no issues. I still have my original physical of that and it was claimed as a PS Plus title a long time ago if you were a subscriber then the digital version works too. Sadly other than that the game is not for sale any more but this game is incredible, especially if you have nostalgia for G1 Transformers it's a dream game. Love your name (and DMC)!

Hey I’m glad to see more people running this game. However this category was always for New Game, I’m not sure why the mods approved the other runs. If you read the description it clearly says “using fresh file” which means no SS weapons from NG+. There is even a complaint on the forum from way back saying how this category was so long and difficult which is why it was NG. I’ll reach out so they can split them back out. GGs on your run! Edit: Yeesh the other run was approved way after mine and wasn’t even halfway through the game so the mods are just letting anything go. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
