@@ArtzzyKid the fact that they're exclusives shows that retailers have an interest in carrying this brand. The fact that Siege Crosshairs is a retail release shows this. No company wanted to pay extra money for him. However, when Target and Walmart and Walgreens and Amazon get exclusives, that means they had to outbid each other, for desirable products. Do I think Walmart and Amazon are the best at handling exclusives? No. However, the waves are planned ahead of time, and the main characters wouldn't get updated as much, because Hasbro is focusing on updating obscure characters. It may be a flawed business practice, but it is what it is. Transformers is a niche medium. We don't have chart-topping movies like Star Wars and Marvel. Exclusives are a major part of what keeps the brand alive. Since Hasbro is focusing on obscure characters, the main characters become exclusives, or hasbro doesn't even bother making the main characters at all. And aside from Target, I don't like it either but it is what it is. Target is pretty good with exclusives though. If you really want more information than this, head to the TFW boards. There are people who have made a living off of analyzing this stuff, and delivering new leaks and they can provide far more information and detail than I can. :)

Looks like an excellent toy! Honestly, I hated the Earthrise Seeker mold, as the Siege Seeker mold is far superior imo, but the Coneheads were different enough for me to consider buying them. Since I can’t get Ramjet and Dirge, I will be getting Thrust. He’s far superior to the other versions of this mold, and I will be picking him up. Slightly weird name, but we can get over that. Yeah, but the siege seekers are just a bot with a jet backpack, their heads look ugly, and the cockpit on the chest is fake. Those are serious flaws that Earthrise corrected imo. The articulation is the only major positive for them.

@@juice2307 I’d say the jet backpack still looks pretty good. And I can live with the faux chest if it gives me a better robot mode. I had earthrise starscream, and besides the articulation and the jet mode, it was horrifying. I couldn’t pose him, and my copy’s paint chipped whenever I touched it, not to mention the plastic actually just started to split. Like, on the creases, it started to split. Nightmare, and I’ve never had such a horrible experience with a transformers figure like that before.

I feel like Earthrise suffered the most out of the War for Cybertron trilogy toylines due to COVID-19 and the delays and cancellations because of it. If it didn’t happen we could of possibly seen another few waves of toys for the line but to be fair other Transformers toylines were also getting made and released at that point. Overall let’s hope that Kingdom and 2021 are better.

The reason why I like Thrust so much and why I think he is one of the best of the seeker mold is how his chest kind of blends in with the VTOL design. I've always thought that the seeker's chest are looked like spinning fans and hated the way they looked on other seeker jet modes. Always felt out of place. Thrust here fixes that. The only other seeker I liked would be Thundercracker because I really liked his character (for some strange reason).

I love the colors and I actually dig the way that the VTOL thrusters are on the back. I only wish the torso was a bit less blocky, with maybe some tapered areas in the midsection. That would have helped the overall look a bit. This one is my favorite of the three coneheads and I think I agree that this is probably the coolest looking use of the Earthrise seeker mold (if you can even consider this the same "mold").

Great review as always. As for availability: I understand that since retail is going through difficult years, Hasbro must turn to exclusives as a mean to secure sales and retailers demand these exclusives be characters that really encourage people to visit their store (physical or online) or they won't stock Hasbro's products. However I wonder how much this strategy will pay off in the long run, since they are surellu alienating some fans/customers. Personally I will no longer spend 85+ euros on a voyager figure. I've done it before but now I refuse to continue encouraging this insanity. Also, I wonder how long will it be until the usual 3rd party companies start producing accurate (if not even improved) ko version of mainline figures like these.

I hope they do release the coneheads in the tetrajet mold like in the new show. I I think they just used those bodies since they already had the animation and just had to switch the heads. But here's hoping. And were have to see which squad gets more seekers the Tetrajet's or the Earth-mold seekers, its 8 tetrjets and 6 Earth-molds (7 once sandstorm comes out).

Have you ever thought about modifying the chest piece by removing the middle part that connects the left and right part of the chest. This mod makes for a cleaner look which resembles cartoon version more and it helps with the transformation! No more pinching the shoulders and applying force!

Thanks for the review. Thrust was my favorite of the original G1 conehead trio. Yeah, I really dislike releasing certain core characters as exclusives. I mean if they are part of a mainline collection, as this character for example is, they should all be available equally available. But, Hasbro has been doing this for quite sometime. And, this is a perfect example of why I should kick myself in the balls for not having picked this figure up when I found him by chance while browsing through Target way back. I can certainly buy one still now, but, I don't think I want to spend nearly 3x/4x the retail cost.

I think you might have to look up a few things for this. I like the Cone-head's more experimental and original design for the base F-15, the plane of which the base Seeker mould is based off of. Dirge, Ramjet and Sandstorm look more like a higher speed/mach design with delta wings instead of the more conventional elevators, and with Dirge, I assume the vertical stabilizer flaps being integrated into the wingtips, and I assume increased stability and maneuverability with the addition to canards in front of the delta wings. Ramjet has a ramjet (the large thruster) and so does Sandstorm. With Thrust here, it seems to be going for a VTOL (vertical take-off or landing) design, hence the fans pointing down in jet mode, to help Thrust, or at least his aircraft take-off vertically.

The micromaster rocketbase stand in for galactic odyssey 5 is the last ever earthrise release. Sad to see it end! Covid really messed up what this line was meant to be with having to cancel Sideswipe and others and wave 1 into wave 5 of Siege. But as one door closes, another opens! Lets go! Into Kingdom!

Thrust is actually my favorite Conehead design, too, but somehow this version of him doesn't appeal to me. But I think he looks a little bit better with his wings flipped up in robot mode. I'm really looking forward to get Selects G2 Sandstorm being my Desert (Camo) Ramjet or Desertstorm because this one looks just amazing to me. The normal ER Ramjet reminds me too much of Snoopy.

Excellent video! Thank you! I am REALLY annoyed by Hasbro's handling of the line, recently. Far too many characters are made into exclusives. Used to be, they'd release a different repaint or variant every few waves at standard retail, so you could eventually get all the Seekers or all the "Fairlady" cars over the course of a year or two. None of this chasing everything down all over the internet and the real world all at once and having to vie with scalpers and their 'bots. Yecch. If they'd kept the old way of doing things, I would probably have attemtped to re-collect all the Seekers, but due to the hassle and the cost, I'm sticking with my Classics mould Seekers and just adding Sandstorm to the mix when he comes out on BBTS.

I'm kind of glad ER is coming to an end now, while we had some awesome figures, the fact Hasbro have made far to many figures exclusives is just stupid and costly, so with Kingdoms I'm only getting a few figures and that is it really, mainly the G1 characters, not really feeling the BW characters, at least the deluxe ones, may get Dinobot but personally, I want to see the Transmetal desgins given modern updates over the starting forms.

See you finally get to complete the seekers, I went to target December 1st and 2nd and on the 1st they gave me runabout but alot of targets still have not gotten thrust in and he was supposed to be released December 1st, now it's gonna be a pain in the ass to get thrust, shit doesn't make any sense to me, also this exclusive shit is getting out of control with people having orders canceled and then having to go chase these figs down, some exclusives would be ok but every wave there's like 6 figures we gotta chase if not more and I think it's stupid but that's just my opinion, I'm curious to hear others thoughts on this.

Target has something. I'm about done with Target. If I get lucky online. That's how it is with the exclusives. Luckily this is coming back in stock off and on. It goes very quickly and can't even check out with it even in your cart a couple times before it's gone. But managed to do it.. Good luck
