Cool on getting Overlord! I got my grail piece a couple months ago when I nabbed a sealed Tyco Transformers train set off of Ebay. (People on the the G1 FB page were saying "NOOOOO!!" when I opened it up!) I had never seen one boxed or loose with my own eyes. Also, my best friend since kindergarden in 1979 is my lifetime TF buddy who had a G1 collection that was around 97% complete and he had also never seen one out of the box only in box at Toys R Us. I waited to open it until I was with him and it was so cool to liberate it from its box, set eyes on it for the first time together and finally set it up and run it. It was also sad that here was a toy that no one had enjoyed for 40 years but at least everything was present and unbroken! I do have the ToyHax stickers for it as I am keeping it as pristine as I can for the next owner. I am also looking for a place to copy the paper buildings onto cardstock so I don't have to cut up the originals. There's also something I've been wondering about you personally. In regards to my bestie and other TF fans I've known between around 7th grade and graduation we had to keep our fandom suppressed for fear of needling (and sometimes physical retribution) from certain kids in school. Did you go through the same thing during your later years in school and your time in the military, or were people around you cool with it and we just were surrounded by A-holes? LOVE the shirt BTW!

Ah so so so good. I remember when I got one of these years ago. My parcel company failed to deliver it and I had to go pick it up from tnthe delivery office. Walked home with a huge box over mhy shoulder praying I wouldn't trip over and break it :) LLovely robot and vehicle modes. Base is ok just don't pick it up or it'll all fall apart :) other than that though it's amazing, really works well with Ginrai.

It was the end of my interest in Transformers, they stopped using Takara molds, it all was MicroMasters and kiddy-looking toys... but then, in a Woolworth's in Quakertown, PA... there was a BIG Transformer. It was Overlord. I thought the ship was too Playskool-looking, the colors of it didn't pop for me. I remember saying to myself, "If I were still into Transformers, I'd get him". lol. LATER, I went to my brother, telling him about, "A tall ship/tank guy who has two little guys become his boobs". I thought that was hilarious. YEARS later, there's a thing called the internet, and when telling this story, I get SWARMED with know-it-alls pointing out, "IMPOSSIBLE! It was European-only!". And that's tough, as, for whatever reason, it was sitting in a Woolworth's for SOME reason decades prior lol.

Had a mental note since then that I'd never seen "the rocket tank guy with Micromaster nipples" at any garage sales lol. If I had to guess, it was some overstock shipment just floating around from like maybe a UK warehouse that had closed down. (I think the UK had Woolsworth / sister thrift company?)

I have had My G1 Overlord SInce 2000. I got mine at Botcon 2000. From a friend, He was a dealer, I paid $150 for mine He was Loose complete. I have all the ones from Europe. I am just missing a few to complete the entire G1 Line. the retools of Thunderwing & Crossblades. Grandus, Just got a G1 dinoking last year. I got all those versions too of overlord. I do have Grand maximus & Black zarak . I think I got my Overlord at a deal back then. Then back in 2000 $150 was lot more money,
