Honestly when it comes to Kingdom I’m far more interested in the Maximals & Predacons instead of the standard Autobots & Decepticons. Gotta admit though that so far the likes of Warpath, Cyclonus & Huffer are pretty spiffy. However due to limited money my first priority are the Beast Wars characters.

I think huffer is one of those characters that you can see being a little bigger than a minibot just due to what he's supposed to transform into a truck that carries trailers. as long as he's not bigger than a deluxe , I'm happy . cant wait to get him and later pipes from this mold.

11:30 Keep in mind that compared to G1 the Earthrise Optimus' trailer is a little bit scaled down which makes the trailer a bit too small for Optimus going off the original scaling, so the issue isn't even with Huffer, but with the trailer itself. I don't think the scale is too bad considering it all still looks good, overall, but if something is to be blamed over the issue in scale it should be the trailer, and not the bot.

Solid review. I'd say that as far as the scale between Huffer and Primes trailer, its not that Huffer is too big, its that Primes trailer is so comically small.

While I agree with you on his flaws, I really like this figure. In his vehicle mode, I find that the strange bend in his look is a lot less noticeable when he has his kit stored. One flaw I would like to add to your list though, is that his hands are just kind of out there. I wish they folded *into* the forearms for a little bit better concealment. Overall though, I love this figure and I think your review on it is very fair and optimistic.

Honestly, I don’t mind the creative liberties. Slavish accuracy to G1 is honestly one of my biggest pet peeves with some transformers. Particularly Arcee. I mean, I obviously want my figures to LOOK like the character, but not to the point where it hurts the toy. Optimus doesn’t have tires on his legs in the cartoon’s character model either, but they’re there on the toys.

I love the look of the guy but I keep feeling like there's room for improvement. The orange on grey of Huffer's legs gives that bent appearance but it's just a mean optical illusion when I'm able to look at the truck mode at an angle instead of straight at the side. A possible solution for Huffer's hand could be to have the arms rotate 90 degrees during transformation and have his hands grip some short nubs within the truck cab. You wouldn't need the tabs on the cab and the slots in his arms, either, as the hands would be used to lock the arms and cab in place.

I'm okay with the more complex colour scheme with more grey and black. I look at it this way - if the original Autobot Mini-Vehicles had just been more Autobot Cars then they would have looked more like this. Now they are deluxes they deserve a consistent deluxe look.
