Gonna wait for the Dinoking version. I had a bunch of the KO parts of Dinoking with their respective dinosaur shells when I was a kid in the 90's, I knew they combined cause even the KO boxes showed them combining but them being KO, it was hard to collect all of them cause you just never knew when one will pop out in those random stores that carry random toys.

I love core class, and am so happy they made a combiner in that size! Now I’m just hoping for the other combiners, Imagine superion! Bruticus! Or pirancon in this size! You could have a mini combiner war on your shelf without each figure being the size of your arm….and costing it too

I'm curious as to what sort of weapon the kibble is going to end up forming, since it's obvious that Slug's tail is intended to attach to other parts in order to form a weapon for Volcanicus. I'm guessing a big sword, but we'll have to wait and see.

Now that I've got Sludge, it seems that Slug's tail actually attaches to his chest to provide another anchor point to attach the two. But I still expect that the final robot will use parts from the other Dinobots to form a weapon.

For that 6th member, the only one of the Dinoforce that doesn't have a Dinobot counterpart would be Gairyu, the Ankylosaurus. So hopefully new Dinobot character...

@@Warppig huh, Skar is a weird choice considering he's so insignificant and forgettable and (as far as I'm aware) only currently has art from one of the, hmm, least consistent Transformers artist, so could look like anything... But that does give them leeway to force him into the space needed to be redecoed as Gairyu, which no other current sixth Dinobot option matches up for.

Slag is fine, but sludge is abysmal. One of the worst Transformers in both bot mode and alt mode I've seen in a long ass time.

Slag doesn't look perfect, but outside of the stubby arms it's fine, so I can live with it, and he actually transforms in combined mode more so he has an actual reason to look slightly bad. There's no excuse, especially when every other core class is great.

This one has a backheavy problem and tends to fall backwards. Patriot Prime found a workaround by turning the dino legs to act as heel spurs to hold it up.

If Volcanicus is going to be retooled into Dinoking, we can use him as a basis on where the rest of the Dinobots will go and who the 6th Dinobot will be. Grimlock should become the Left Leg Snarl should become the Right Leg Swoop should become the Right Arm And the Left Arm should be formed by a Dinobot that transforms into an Ankylosaurus

Mini-Volcanicus is cute when put side-to-side with earthrise optimus prime and also same time giant when side-to-side with core class optimus haha I loved combiners and i didn't know that the core class dinobots will be a combiner too. Under the assumption that these are intended to be repainted into Dinoking, I’m betting the sixth Dinobot is going to be Scowl, from Robots in Disguise. Because Scowl is the only Dinobot that turns into an ankylosaurus, which is the pretender shell (or alt mode in this case) of Gairyu.

Also I highly recommend you check out the lucky cat Devastator as it's the first time we've really gotten a cybertronian Devastator with cybertronian vehicle modes that are also quadruple changers since they can turn into shipping crates in addition to their vehicle robot and combine modes

All I’m really hoping for is for Swoop’s swings to pop off so they can attach on the back to give Volcanicus some wings. If not, then I’ll have to hope a 3rd party will make some. Have a big feeling this one is going to get a promising upgrade kit.

I think that's pretty funny too, so you're not alone! 😆 Most people are talking about Dinoforce, but I've been hoping for a new Monstructor set for a long time. Someone in another comment suggested that the 6th Dinobot could be Scowl from RID2015, which also amuses me, since there was also a Scowl in the Pretender Monsters. I have no idea whether they'd occupy the same position in the combiner like Slug/Slag/Slog, though.

I gotta say the bod of combined mode is nicely chunky. i like volcanacus but he's very gangly so its funny that the "cheap core class" version looks to be a more sturdy build. my money is on grimlock being a foot with snarl leaving swoop and the new guy to be the arms and i wouldnt be surprised down the road at seeing them being remolded into monstructor as well as the dinoforce character.. ive been on a core class kick as im using them to populate my titans in base mode and these lads are shaping up well to go with omega supreme.

I thing the reason slug and sludge form the torso is either on of two things first it could be a reference to the dinoforce from victory or hasbro plans on recoloring/retooling them into the dinoforce because for the dinoforce Rairyu, the Brontosaurus, and Kakuryu, the triceratops, form the torso of Dino king another SIX member DINOBOT combiner so I think that the secret sixth member might be an ankylosaurus character. Even more evidence to support this is that Kakuryu forms the upper torso of Dinoking and Rairyu forms the lower torso. Now for the sixth member it might be an original character or it could be Scowl, in keeping with the Dinobot names starting with S, because he is, to my knowledge, the only western transformers character that turns into a ankylosaurus.
