Illuminator Optimus Prime was my first ever Optimus Prime. It's a great toy wish the new trailer had as much firepower as the original. Not going to get this new version but I might pick up when it gets repainted as Scourge or Ultra Magnus

The legacy G2 laser Optimus Prime definitely turned out better than even I expected looks good in both modes the transformation was definitely more complex than I expected without being mind numbingly so and just like the Earthrise I think you're getting a lot for 50 bucks I considered the earthrise a budget masterpiece and yet I would love to see takara do a masterpiece laser Optimus Prime or scourge which I would also like to see a repaint for the G2 laser Optimus Prime

The original 90s toy was my first ever transformer. I still have him. Its beat up and loose but I've kept it for sentimental reasons. It's nice to see how this one looks similar but the transformation is definitely more complex.

Optimus, you'd should borrow someone's version with Larkin's Lair add on kit + other 3rd party upgrades. The playability and over all look is amplified x1000. There's so much good stuff out there.

10:25 His eyes are not supposed to look like that. What you have there is glue residue showing through the eyes. My first copy of the figure had that problem in one of its eyes. I sent it back for a replacement which didn't have that problem.

No plastic packaging comes with standard issued Hasbro paint mishaps. It's expensive enough already why should consumers buy something knowing there is high chance of QC issues which the manufacturer won't even bother to fix and expect the consumer to fight it out with the retailer and pay the price of exchanges etc.

looks nice & i like the shoulder mounted missile pods but other than that i am COMPLETELY ABSOLUTELY UNDERWHELMED! Let's start with the problems it has 1 the size it is small compared the original gen 2 & the year of the goat. 2 the price $45 & more plus sales tax is high compared to $20 to $25 plus sales tax for the original gen 2 back in 1995. 3 no play features, where''s the fun! this version has only turret gun & a claw arm compared to the gen 2 has light up effects & 5 missile launcher, 5 disc launcher plus a rocket launcher & the turret gun that if you put it in optimus prime's hand it lights up. the sword lights up and the headlights light up. the legacy laser optimus prime is an ABSOLUTE BAD JOKE AT BEST!
