I don’t know how you feel about gap filler/ upgrade kits but there is one available for Quake that I think kicks him up a notch or two. He’s definitely not my favorite of the line but after I got the kit for him, I find myself picking him up to mess with more and more.

He's an easy skipped for me. He's another case of one mode is stronger than the other. Also I have Skullgrim already (bought a preowned for £10) which while he's bad but has a "charm" to it. Just the large skull head remind me if you painted it brown, he give of a Minotaur in a maze sorta vibe.

Really liked the dual review/comparison. To touch on Skullgrin mine is plagued with Q/C Overall joints are really nice and tight, but the mount for the left horn is so warped the horn just falls out, and the hands pop out almost effortlessly. Other than that I too am of the opinion he, and the Core Pretenders should all have gotten proper Voyager releases. Should be getting Quake, and Deluxe Prime in the next week so first TFs of 2025. I think Quake's robot mode, and colors look great, and really differentiate the mold from Skullgrin. The alt mode at least tries to be a tank whereas Hasbro just kind of figured out something for Skullgrin to turn into that looks like a treaded skateboard with a turret. The only thing I feel Skullgrin does better is with the weapons selection whereas Quake just has the same two Targetmasters already released twice in different colors.

Quake is currently at the time of my collection the sole wave 4 of united I own. AND HES BETTER THAN SKULLGRIN. I feel this has something to do with being a sole takara design figure if i remember the spacebridge reveals of this wave. Not to say the other deluxes are bad I still want to grab slipstream but im just waiting on that price drop but i love the mold as i have windblade currently. Now to hopefully try and find that round 2 of cosmos oh who am I kidding ramjet is priority 1 of wave 5 at this point.

Personally, I enjoy the figure a lot. His robot mode is really the highlight, and I don't mind the Chunky tanks, but it's for you to determine.
