Glad you had no real issues. Love the look but mine is a little floppy and had some pieces break during transformation.

@@Windcharger- fingers crossed their springer doesn’t have the same quality issues their menasor and kup have had. I did hear they already started recalling the kups. Not sure how much that’s true

Thanks for the review Ben. I still have yet to transform or combine mine yet. I am waiting for a good video that skips the stupid base mode. I am not happy about the lack of ratchets in the forward hips and ankles. I had bad luck with my Zeta Superion, so I am nervous about this figure taking a shelf die. I hope to see more content from you soon.

@@walkers198, my copy of their Downthrust has very weak knees that would not stay together in combine mode. This caused the combined figure to collapse and take a bad shelf dive, breaking many parts from many bots. I didn't even take a close look, just gathered all the pieces and put them in a big tote bin. It looks good in combine mode, but the individual bots are not great(full of QC issues), the plastic used is cheap (thus breaking easy from a fall) and there is little paint, although that is the least of the complaints. I would definitely not recommend it if you are paying more then retail.

Great video Ben, with the controversy of XTB trailer and business practices have been under extreme fire lately. Rightfully so I can't overlook how UNBALANCED Menasor is!? It appears to be very unstable, that's ashame... With the recent errors of LOCKE there kup, Quintesson and overpriced marks I'm not sure they'll survive if they don't do some recall & restructuring.

@@Windcharger Hey I really want to cheer for XTB and any other 3rd party masterpiece companies... MMC, Maketoys, Generation Toys, Fanstoys, TFC, Toyworld or Zeta for us MP collector's and fans of the hobby! Without them we can't get upscure characters or finish off shelves.

Nice review. I'm in this for the sole reason that I gambled on this horse since XTB started off cheaper than all the others. Though, I would not have gone for DX9 as I don't like how that representation looks. The face sculpt, the blocky lower legs and very flat, plain colors didn't stand up against XTB's offering. That said, I've seen horrendous QC issues with Monolith, and yours seems to be on the better side. I think it's just a case of the earlier ones having problems, and possibly being fixed with the ones being received later. I was debating on not even bothering with putting Motormaster in the torso cavity, but I really am just going to have it standing straight up, back against the wall anyhow, so we'll see. If the price wasn't what it was for the trailer, and it came with all the extras from the accessory pack, I would probably have given it an 7 or 8/10. Otherwise, it looks like a 6 - 7/10.

Me too. I bought two sets of the XTB cars because it was so cheap. I ended up with Roadking and the cars for bot-mode and then everything for alt and combine mode. My trailer and accessories pack was about $150, much less than the price of one FT car, so I am happy with it. By the time I was looking for the FT preorders, they were sold out.

You could totally get the accessory kit, then 3D print the remainder bits for the arms. The legbots would be a full print.

An ab crunch also would have given more posability options, as well as ways to compensate for the heavy backpack; however, XTB probably would have put it on a 2mm single pin, like on Locke, and then everyone would have been (justifiably) pissed off.

I am still not sure what your end recommendation is. Yes, someone could 3D print the cars for the arms and legs (if they have the time, talent and equipment) - but what if they don't like the look of the DX9 version or think it's too tall? Is this one worth getting?

I would say that if all you want is Menasor, then skip the limbs and hopefully someone will share or sell the 3D files for the limbs. But if you already have the limbs, then you’re most likely on the same boat as all of us if you want Menasor.. you have to buy the trailer.

@@bobagorof only if you like the aesthetics. You can still buy the DX9 MM and then get the file to 3D print the limbs if Menasor is all you want. But DX9 themselves are not supporting the product anymore. Maybe getting the FT combiner will be an option and maybe theirs will be taller too.

Cool with the G1 Animation by side, you'll understand some choices better very good. But I love my Dx9 to much, especially cause of the size of it. But I'll get it. The look of it is more G1, definitely.

The weight of MM will keep the waist to stay pegged. Without MM, those pegs come off too easily for my copy.

Because I already have limbots, I am interested in trailer, but not interested in XTB MM ($130 backpack plug lol nah)...wondering what I should do....hoping a skilled 3D designer come up with a cheap MM replacement solution to fill in gap and attach. *sigh* Why XTB why?

I'm all in on Fanstoys Menasor w8 4 my Dragstrip 2 get here and then the release of Dead-end, but im a little concerned with them being the same w8 as the limbs and all that die-cast in the arms might be a problem. Yeah... XTB had too much die cast as is and FT has even more die cast. Not good news at all. But I really hope that FT is doing their homework and comes out with a good combiner.

After this review, I found Monolith to be more stable when I had Gravestone in it. But this was when I had the bulk-up pieces from MX-12C installed.
