People are acting like this whole "Non transforming Transformer action figures" thing is a brand-new thing, but these are just descendants of the Robot Replicas that came out with the 07' movie and ROTF. I don't remember being an uproar about it back then.

Considering that 99.9% of the lines transform it is bizarre that people are complaining. If these were made at the expense of transforming toys then it would make sense but considering it isn't the complaints are ridiculous.

@@LastBastian I think the reason people are upset about the R.E.D figures is that the articulation isn't that much better than the transformable figures, also the reason revoltech doesn't get hate is because the articulation is extremely good and the painting and sculpting is really nice

This video actually made me understand why this line exists, it’s for fans of the franchise, who aren’t full on transformers collectors, they just want a nice cartoon accurate representation of the characters, while I have no interest in it, I respect it for what it’s doing

I'm in the it's not my cup of tea group but to each his own. I just saw these at a Walmart in Canada and the thing that struck me was the lack of detail but I guess that would work with the animated look... Hopefully the line lives on for all those that do appreciate them

@是我 not everyone can afford or want to spend MP $ (including myself). Siege and Earthrise hooked me (I would have avoided many Siege toys (had I known the Earthrise versions were coming out with Earth modes), but I'm sure Hasbro knew that when they planned the lines. Ultimately for R.E.D if you don't like it you don't have to buy it.

Captain Groot, yes. As a fan of G1 Transformers this is very cool. I have G1 from back in the day. This line appeals to those folks who love the source material especially the cartoon series. The scale can be a turnoff though as a separate line you get your money worth. I got lucky got all three at my local Walmart. I will check out wave two.Be Well.

Honestly the best mode is still the robot mode. Who will display them in vehicle mode? I don't really care about transforming. I think articulation is the most important part in displaying. Am quite disappointed with Optimus prime though. Great review nonetheless....👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Love the potential of this line, baby steps for them just now,but next wave looks brilliant, theres a real opportunity to get some great versions from different series. I'm a big Transformers collector, I collect MPs but I've wanted a line like this forever. Transformers are a noun not a verb. There is absolutely room in the line to collect these. I'm a little sick of other tf fans moaning about a line they arent even going to collect. Its 2020. Great review.

what would you recommend just for a little display? This RED line here or the PCS 8.5'' statues? The only thing with pcs is they are statues no articulation at all. I just want a small classic G1 display.

Glad you got these Toy Bro! I really love these beyond a few hiccups with Soundwave's articulation and that shoulder cannon. I bought these for the exact reasons you stated. I have other Transformers like Siege and Earthrise but I never transform them so this line was a welcomed addition to my collection. Who are you hoping for in future waves? I hope that Starscream, Bumblebee and maybe Hotrod come out so there are two Autobots and one Decepticon for wave 2. To be honest, I wish Super 7 would make Transformers Ultimates similar to how they did Voltron. I think a scale like that would be incredible. But these work even though they are a bit small.

I have Transformers R.E.D. Megatron displayed with my Amazing Yamaguchi Revoltech Optimus Prime figure and they look almost perfect together. It would be cool to get another Revoltech Megatron someday though that's the same size as the R.E.D. figure just more stylized.

I have some original g1 transformers and I didn’t like them because they are so different from the tv show (of course soundwave was perfect since the beginning) and I like this figures because I never transforms them into objects. Of course those super expensive with great engineering transformers are perfection but I don’t have resources to buy them. So for me this is a win win.

I might get these. I dont really care for Transforming either. Already have Masterpieces that Transforms I really don’t care about more toys of the same character ai have that do this. Going forward I say they should focus on articulation. More multiple hands and faces for expressions. If its dynamic enough this line could be exceptional. The size is good too.

Not perfect but I like the aesthetic. The fact they don't transform means the bodies are more accurate to the cartoon source material, which I like. The amount of accessories is great. More of Hasbro's lines should have multiple hands etc.

I have three Soundwaves and all have that weird issue with the canon. You would think something that simple would be easy to produce but somehow they screwed it up. Overall I am super happy with these.

I picked up Soundwave because he is my favourite character, and he is okay but not fantastic to be honest. I don't really like his ball joint head but apart from that and a bit of dodgy stiffness on some joints he is cool. I will pick up a Galvatron when and if he arrives. Also on the Soundwave cannon on shoulder it should have a red line around the end they forgot.

I wanted to buy these but it looks like they are not scaled to each other. Shouldn't Soundwave be a little bit shorter? They all look the same size. If they drop a 6" Bumblebee I'm really gonna be trippin. Also I'm thinking they should be $10/$15 instead of $20.

I stored my R.E.D. on top of each other and got stained (bluish color).....anyone have this problem? Is it the plastic they used?.. or the paint they used on the figures? I have optimus, megatron and soundwave.

I like the model kits better by Flame Toys for the non-transforming highly articulated Transformers w/butterfly joints and all. You have the opportunity to paint them here and there but they are great w/o them. Also there is no glue and all that hard stuff required. I’ll buy Bumblebee and the Seekers in the RED line bc I’m a mark 😆. Good review man 👍.

They will scale pretty good with the MP human figures and diaclone human figures.i like these. I hope we get alpha trion before this line ends. This would be a great line to make the original 13. They'd be totally accurate to their art work.

@@BlamoStramoI misunderstood your reply I probably was thinking about a different series. Yes the legacy deluxe around same price does transform, but don't look anything as good as the R.E.D. series. I'm not saying R.E.D. are great and legacy deluxe are a lot better than anything made through the 80's and 90's. I don't know how they scale, but gotta be a lot better than R.E.D. my bumble bee is bigger than optimus prime. My experience with legacy series is that the characters have either a different alt mode than originally or both bot and alt modes not even close to what they were originally. If asked what does Soundwave transform into 1% might ask for the question to be more specific and the rest blurt out tape player. In the legacy voyager series in bot mode Soundwave kinda looks the same if he was to have rabies. In alt mode nothing like a tape player. I would think legacy would be more closer to its the past since that's what legacy is.

Considering the long track that Hasbro has with the transformers line, I would have expected a better finish in its details, these look cheap IMO, unlike the Gundam Universe line, these are very low in articulation and aesthetics.

I will Transformers The Last Knight toys like Hound and the character named actually called Drift I can still play with them I'm just not going to transform into the vehicle modes because I did not like Transformers The Last Knight movie and the vehicles from Transformers The Last Knight on not the same from Age Of Extinction ones from the movie I don't like because because the vehicles on that came on track was the last night movie I did not like it and they have the vehicle modes in the movie I like made the robots one more accurate it's just that they just what it is is that they didn't get the same vehicle mode.

Found them in Walmart over a month ago. Took Soundwave out, messed with it for about 30mins, packed him back up, and took them back to the store. I'm of the camp that Transformers should TRANSFORM, but decided to give em a shot. It's a huge no for me dog.
