Wings-become-legs is always the better transformation scheme for the birdformers. Wish they'd redesign G1 Swoop this way. Only minor gripe is that the wings are stuck in that outstretched position, but I'm sure you can simply disconnect the mini-wings to give her a perching pose.

When comparing the two Airazors, I can’t stop looking at Kingdom’s orange dump truck. It looks out of place whereas the shoulders of the new ones act very well as bird tights. The head just hanging out is strange but it’s a better silhouette too. In the end, a very good step in the right direction. Very high hopes for the studio series.

That bird falcon mode is absolutely awesome and well done. Didn't think much of the figure tbh but now it's a must have.

If this isn't the Studio Series toy, it should be. WFCK Airrazor has some nice wing articulation but is otherwise barely an update from the mid-90s original, while this one is freakin' awesome even with the slightly more limited mobility. Still waiting to see Arcee's toy, but this one and Dial ("Wheeljack") are locked in must-haves.

Design-wise, I much prefer this over the studio series version, both in robot and bird mode. Plus, this one has new engineering that fixes my problem with Kingdom's bird mode (boxy torso and bird legs that look like squatting robot legs). I really wish this design is the one that got a bigger budget and better articulation instead

the only weak part of the beast mode for me is the gaps left in the front of the wings. i wish one side of the legs was on a hinge so it could cover at least the bulk of the gap, or heck maybe it even could have been that the swords were molded in such a way that they slotted in, that could have been really cool

Love her! That head and the somewhat more simplified movie detail actually makes her a pretty good fit with my WFC figures. I love the Kingdom Airazor too so maybe I'll make this a new character for me. 🤩

The only thing that's kinda bad about legs become wings is gonna be the compromises for the wing articulations. Aside of that, that transformation scheme is more unique than the non-transforming wings, and it's a brand new original mold compared to the "Studio Series" one.

So glad you reviewed the superior Airazor first. Couldn't wait to see a proper review of her. That SS version is plain boring and reuses the transformation of the mold from Kingdom which I find worst. Kingdom Airazor just sucks. But it couldn't have been done better given her impossible design

I won't lie, the lack of a waist swivel does somewhat disappoint me, but even with that unfortunate crutch I can still say this figure is a must-buy for me. The transformation is amazingly-done, the design is aesthetically pleasing, both modes look stunning with that bird mode being the best we've ever gotten to date, and overall it's just a superior figure design-wise than that ugly-as-sin Studio Series figure that's just a Kingdom Airazor retool. It's just no comparison between them, and I'm looking forward to getting her.

I was never a fan of Beast Wars and it's partly because they're designed to look "real" but with the limitations of the design and conversion in the toys they always (IMO) looked rubbish. However, THIS to my eyes looks awesome! I love the beast mode, I hope they do something similar for Swoop when/if he's ever released in the Studio Series range :)

I love how Has-Tak made the robot legs turn into falcon's wings. It is the first time they did that, I mean, usually with the characters who have a winged-beast alt mode such as birds, pterodactyls, dragons, etc., the beast-alt mode wings are usually serving as wings as well to their respective robot mode. So, this one is new to me, and I love it. 😊
