I always loved the Optimus head storyline from the MaRVEL comics and I often played that out with my toys when I was little lol. I feel like comic Shockwave was more of a grape purple.

I don't recall seeing Shockwave having the Decepticon logo in any G1 cartoon episodes or even in the '86 movie.

Does the Optimus Prime head have a ball joint that could be put on a body? That head on the Earthrise or even the 86 Optimus whenever that comes out could look really cool.

Love the Geoff Senior styled head. Eyes could have been a smidge bigger but the shapes are otherwise great

The UK comic did get the correct version of the end of issue 4. However we also got a reprint of all the first four issues in a hard cover format that used the original happy ending to make it feel more like a complete story.

I bought comics grimlock, mostly cause of the painjob and the fact that my last grimlock was the voyager from foc. pretty good paintjobs from that line imo.

Really enjoyed this review, and hopefully, I can get this figure set! I still have my Marvel Comics Transformers series in my collection, but missing 2 issues toward the end of the run, where some punk at the comic shop who didn't even buy the series, decided to swipe the book when the dealer was sorting out the orders for his customers, and I got stuck without them... I've been planning to do a display with my actual comic #5, and the Siege Shockwave in that pose, but the Optimus head and display unit, are some great additions to the set! I'm not a fan of the comic shading on the figure, but I guess it could be a throwback to the tar pit that Shockwave and the Dinobots ended up fighting in 🤔 when they were sent after him initially... seems like anyway... haven't read them in a few years.😅

Nice review - I'll check out your other videos. One thing to say, we DID get the original ending to US #4 in the UK comics (it was in #8 for us as the issues were split in two).

What I'm saying is that toy companies are being very cautious in making toys that could be mistaken for actual weapons. Unlikely you'd be shot during the day, but if you carried it around at night it could happy. A kid with a laser tag gun was shot, I believe.

It aint news that hasbro doesnt make transformers that turn into guns anymore, last mainline figure of shockwave that was a gun came out in 1985

gun toy regulations aren't the fault of Hasbro, check where they sell their toys and what the laws regarding toy guns are, the place where it's the strictest, is the one to blame, most likely. besides, there's always 3rd party if you really want a gun version.
