This absolutely replaces all other Starscreams for me. The scaling is perfect to the other Siege Decepticons...as well as even G1 figures. The look is just fantastic. We're getting good looking quality stuff at normal prices....finally! I am not a Masterpiece collector due to the prices primarily, so the Siege stuff really is a gift to me. There are some flaws as with anything else, but I really do believe this line is the best we have received (mainstream retail that is) ever. I am addicted to the line myself.

I love how 80s sci-fi the vehicle mode is. Its like it flew right out of some Atari box art. The back of it does bother me too, and I feel like they could have done better with it, but its alright. I picked up one as well and have the same unpinned chest issue. I didn't know it was a problem with the whole line until I saw your video. I thought it was just mine being broken or something. So thanks for that info!

When you first see the figure in package, you believe that Starsceam will have his normal jet mode we all know, but then, bam! You get his tetra-jet mode! I almost forgot these figures transform into their Cybertronian modes! Starscream looks really great in his robot mode especially, shame about that pin problem, but hopefully it will be fixed soon. I remember the War For Cybertron (from 2010), you could get all the Seekers in their tetra-jet modes, but these were based more on the video game itself, they still look really cool in my opinion. And maybe we'll get all 3 Seekers in this new line? Great review as always, Paul!

10:05 The panel on the back of his head slots between his shoulder intakes and helps hold his head up and everything together moe securely. 16:41 There are full-on ankle hinges so his feet move forward and back a good bit. It's the grey hinge piece above the blue toe pieces.

I got this figure today and love it! I’m a huge fan of Starscream and just had to have this one. I haven’t had any problems with it yet. I always go to your reviews for learning how to transform my figures instead of using the directions.

When I got him, I wasn't too disappointed. Had my gripes with his vehicle mod and that chest piece but honeslty I really loved his robot mode, was up all night playing with him.

Need to meet the first collector who keeps him in jet mode anyway. That goes for most figures. Granted the jet mode has it's issues and the chest piece is annoying. But Screamer gets way more flak then Ironhide. And those panels on the sides of him won't stay in place at all. On my copy one side does the other does not. And that is a bigger QC issue. Specially since it has a 5mm peghole on the side for armoring him up. Which wont stay in place and will dangle. But people go mental over the Screamer chestpiece.

We just got this figure, needed a lil help with the transformation because the instructions aren't that clear. Thanks for the video! We did notice that the little piece that clips into the back of his head, it actually fits if you leave it straight out. It fits into the the two (shoulder pylons).

I really like this figure, it screams G1 and I plan on picking up Thundercracker as well when he releases this summer. I haven't seen any promos for Skywarp yet. My only real complaint is the chest piece, however it should be noted that there are tabs to hold it in place in robot AND vehicle mode so honestly the hinge where a pin would fit is really sort of irrelevant to me. The light piping looks amazing on mine, especially in natural light in the evening, so I dunno if there is some variation in them as far as that goes.

The guy is a total dream!!! Love this representation of Starcree!!! Not since 1984 have I've ever been this impressed!! Sure there's the MP line but I already have Skywarp and it's kinda too big?! This guy is just about perfect for an official line and I have the Generations version of Acidstorm and since it's smaller than this (as they were via the G1 cartoon!!) so it's great!

Okay here is both earth rise and siege starscream 1. Siege: has waist rotation but has a bad chest, good paint apps, tetra jet mode rules quite good with leg articulation 2. Earthrise: G1 3.0 doesn't have waist rotation, cockpit transformation is a solid meh, his mode looks great but decepticon logo is in reverse during robot mode, it has good legs and can be a pass sometimes according to other people We need a combination of both to create the perfect strascream of course

believe it or not, the legs hanging down on the bottom of the cybertron jet mode and his chest being the back thrusters are actually accurate! in a scene from transformers war for Cybertron Kingdom starscream transforms into his jet mode you can see the back and underside of his jet mode and yes, his chest does become the thrusters and his legs fold up under the jet

Picked up the latest version of him today, the one that shipped with Siege Springer. And the running change made was correcting the Decepticon insignia from movie-esque to original G1. And the chest piece is a lot tighter now even without a metal pin. Overall QC is better as of the prod release #91341 - Aug 2019.

other than the chest piece being the back of the alt mode which i think they could've found a way to hide underneath the Viper...er, i mean, tetrajet chassis, the shoulder pylons not resting over the shoulders instead of coming from the back is another thing they could've found a way to do. They could've unclipped, hinged out and then snapped in place over the shoulders. But other than those two things i think the figure is amazing with great poseability.

Yellowing can be undone with hydrogen peroxide and sunlight or uv. You can submerge it or use a salon cream. There are videos about it.

Does it ruined color plastic on figures that have yellowing on say day gray plastic?

I've seen it done to yellow computer housings from the eighties, on white and grey parts I think, but I've definitely seen it done to grey Legos that looked kinda brown, and I've tested it myself on a yellowed buzz lightyear toy with no problems. My research tells me that the same chemical reaction that ultraviolet light allows that turns plastic yellow works in reverse with hydrogen peroxide and uv light, and it's much faster, and it didn't damage the paint it touched. I used a 40% hydrogen peroxide cream from a salon and left buzz in the window for a few days, replacing the cream when it dried. I use the cream instead of submerging him because he has stickers and electronics.

I absolutely love the look of this figure. I’ve always loved starscream and for me this is the definitive starscream. And personally I love the chest being on the back of the jet. One of my complaints with the g1 cybertron modes was them having the earth designs in robot mode but then just completely different vehicle modes with no parts from the robot mode. So I love how the chest goes on the back as it just adds that realism to it. Like why would starscream just hide that chest. Anyway ye overall amazing figure I honestly love it so much and I’m so glad hasbro actually made this figure

9 months later, but I did want to mention that the panel behind the head tabs into the space between the nosecone in robot mode. Secondly, the rainmakers (Acid Storm, Ion Storm, Nova Storm) were released in Toys R' Us as a 3-pack for $99.99 CAD. Finally, I would say the War/Fall of Cybertron Seekers are close enough to be called tetrajets.

idk if you know but the panel that holds his head also if you let it go straight will tab into the pillars that was the nose cone. it lets the nose cone sit flusher against his back.

Just got this figure today about half an hour ago or so, he's not bad and I do agree with the chest plate, it really should have been pinned in securely instead of too loose like it is as well as some way found to be able to fold it up into the alt mode cleanly. Other than that though he's not bad at all.

Transformers War for Cybertron toyline lacks a leader class Megatron. Hope they make it soon. I am new to Transformers toys, stepoped in with my kids in the War for Cybertron series. Megatron is the leader of the decepticons. So he must have a leader class. It's good that Shockwave also have one, maybe not the best leader class, but I like it. I love to see how Transformers going back to their prime. I liked the movies from Michael Bay, but it wasn't Transformers as I knew them. Good to see them going back.

i find the look to be cheesy and charming! of course, i love my other starscream version with the smooth and more gorgeous angle. but as someone who grew up with the old cartoons and loves starscream, it really gave back nostalgia for me! his plane mode isn't all THAT good but it kinda shows his personality for me. that's just my opinion though! i love collecting transformers

That number he showed on the bottom of the box wasn't the code from the person who reported the pin fix, it was an example to where to find the code from someone in the comments to explain where the code was in the reporters box. He said he threw it away. Secondly, the gray peice behind his head, I think it's suppose to tuck between the nose cone behind his shoulders because there are 2 grooves there for something like that to sit.

The general belief is that pinned running change is not accurate. I believe it has yet to reported by more than one source.

It's great that they are Cybertron G1 related,.. and the paint is pretty good. The engineer or model designer however for this one, I think really sucks. All that stuff should be hidden, and just triangle shape. Also a lot of these Transformers series have the issues of needing a pin, and falling apart with just Transforming (brand new). Such very poor designs and crappy plastic, ..it's such a shame, because they are from the era fans want, they look pretty good, the paint is very well done,...but they drop the bucket on hiring the right engineering design teams.

910AM Superstation Funnies well the way the g1 tetra jet transformed in the show was kinda shitty. None of the “vehicle kibbles” on the robot actually became anything on the tetra jets. When they transformed, round shell panels just magically appear from their backs and wrap around the robot, then they Magically become angular as the blob that wraps around the robot becomes the tetra jet. But here, in toy form, designers have to deal with something called conservation of mass, cant just delete the tetra jet shell like in the show. For $30, you get a tetra-jet vehicle mode and a toon accurate robot mode. The only other tetrajet seeker mode out there is a third party one called tetra squadron, and those have a nicer tetra jet, they also have a chunky robot mode that looks much worse than the one here. So id say, the toy designers did pretty well considering what they had to work with.
