Salkafar G1 figures are extremly simples and... Very bad compared to the actual figures (Not all). This is a movie figure. The designs are very complicated for a good triple changer.

Honestly, I get that they made him so small to fit with the SS scale accuracy, but I don't think that it works with the complicated transformation, which kind of ends up being fiddly because of all the small parts. Really hope that a KO company upscales this

Especially since this figure in particular feels needlessly complicated in terms of transformation, with _way_ too many opportunities to snap something in half just because of how thin everything is. Not to mention how fucking tiny this thing is, both in size and girth. That, plus the thinness, makes it feel like I'd be trying to transform one of those cheap plastic things you get in Easter baskets.

SS Dropkick mold would work to make Cinematic Obsidian. As BB trailer has shown that Dropkick and Shatter are Triple Changers, seems like Hasbro had to pick one of the two modes since they couldn't do proper Cinematic Triple Changer mold in Deluxe scale.

Considering how slender the Cobra chooper is, I can't fault the robo mode for being so sleek. Generations Whirl is a little less frail looking as a robot, but has lots of extra bulk in helo mode. I really like Dropkick's helo mode.

I can EASILY see this being repainted as a modern version of the Turbomaster/Wrecker Rotorstorm. Specially if you get the shapeways Rotorstorm head. The design of this figure looks like it wouldn't be out of place in the CHUG/CWTRPOTP line too much. Know what, that's exactly what I'm doing to do.

I would not have been able to transform this toy without a visual aid. Thank you for that. Our tail would not hold together. I had to clamp it in place and "warp" the edges of the interlocking "male and female" sides to get it to stay together. If you apply any pressure to the tail it pops apart. They really need to upscale this one. Complete disappointment.

The small scale is justifiable, considering that he is approximately the same height as Bee as we see in some of the trailers. Also, the helicopter mode is mistransformed, the turret at the front of the chopper needs to be flipped out. Overall, probably going to buy it.

I hate the movies but these Studio Series figures are the best Transformers Hasbro is making now (ugh) but I'm waiting on the oversized KOs before buying any. Most of them just feel too small, like they're suppose to be Legends class (which is a problem I am having with most of Hasbro's mainline now). I can't wait to see this guy upscaled to his proper size!

You forgot to pull out the machine gun from the legs for the copter mode. There is supposed to be a gun below the cockpit that is inside the feet. I have the figure and I found other copies at the store that lack silver paint on the head which is really bad.

I thought one of the attractions of Studio Series was supposed to be approximate scale accuracy. Surely a helicopter is bigger than a car. Also are any chopper designs that narrow seen front-on? It has an interesting insect-like vibe to it - wonder if anyone can get a dragonfly fan mode out of it. :)

@Starscream91 - And yet the movies were supposed to observe 'conservation of mass' in transformations, so what's to scale in one should be to scale in the other. I know that was never committed to, certainly not with the toys. And I guess an additional problem with this character is it's supposed to also turn into a car, so maybe the robot mode _is_ to that scale and yet, the toy's not a triple-changer. Incidentally, Dropkick is slang here in Australia for an idiot. I wonder what the character is like. :)

To bad he is so small. Especially considering that a Super Cobra is pretty big (almost 14 meters fuselage length, which means he dwarfs Bumblebee). Would like an oversized version of Dropkick. He should be Leader, or at least Voyager sized. Would look great next to Blackout. Although scale wise this version does fit very well with Legends figures. A Harrier version of Shatter would look nice next to this. Don't really car about the car versions. Besides TF collector I am also a militarist. :D

There is a number of errors of various kinds around the 2 minute mark - that it would be churlish to point them out specifically - but I noticed them. I will however point out one which is that you did forget to flip out the nose mounted Machine Gun on the vehicle mode at +9:44.

Studio series doesn’t really go buy deluxe sizes. It’s based off of scale from the films. It’s all good, but if you wanna nitpick about the movie scale do that, not complain about the sizes 🤷🏻‍♂️
