The Dinobots origins vary between continuities. In g1 cartoon Wheeljack built them after seeing a dino exhibit in a museum, whereas in the comics they were wokeup early to fight against Shockwave in Marvels Savage Lands. They got stuck in a tar pit for millions of years. Ben is also right, Optimus saving the Autobots to "The Touch" is one of the greatest moments in movie history!

If memory serves it is Rodimus Prime (Hotrod) who saves the Autobots to Stan Bush’s “The Touch” at the end of the Transformers movie

I just checked and it turns out that The Touch plays during the Optimus & Megatron fight and also plays as Hot Rod is transformed into Rodimus Prime by the Matrix of Leadership!

Yesss TCGs are my favourite genre of tabletop. I'd love to see them try out random things. Dragonball, Buddyfight, Vanguard are all pretty fun straight out the starter deck.

Tom you made some misplays but you still managed to eek out a win. Firstly Swoop shouldn’t have been able to transform after Slug attacked for the turn. Since you only get an additional attack, you don’t get any other actions like transforming or playing cards. Grimlock is a finisher because he does spillover damage so he should never attack first. Attacking with your more tanky guys should take priority since they become the only viable attack targets for your opponent and you get more turns to set up your main attacker. Really glad you guys played this and hope it comes back for more episodes

So I've been playing this game for the past 2 weeks and I can say that it is very fun. Playing this at my local community Card game shop, I have been getting together with other people to play this and talking about deck combinations. Definitely worth getting into.

My favorite origin story for the dinobots is from Transformers: Cybertron. Where the dinobots are native to a jungle planet, with no affiliation with Earth, along with beastbots, and Optimus Prime ended up getting a gorilla transformation. Fun fact this series also had a story arc where Megatron died and came back as a ghost that couldn't be hurt by anyone and gets the abilities to dissolve cybertronians by touching them and reforming them into upgraded versions of themselves.

A little lore on the dinobots: in the OG cartoon, from what I remember, they were created by Ratchet and Wheeljack in response to being outnumbered by the decepticons, I think their more basic tech was due to the autobots not having good creation tech on a literal wrecked ship, can’t quite blame em there. Edit: Also coming from a relatively young 17 year old, the transformers movie absolutely still holds up XD

They're just playing with a single player deck that they've split in two.

The autobot starter set has rules inside so you can play it as a 2 player demo game by splitting the deck and characters between the 2 players

The Autobots wanted to create the Dinbobots as close to the Dinosaurs as possible. Meaning: make them very strong, but also with tiny brains / rather stupid.

Basically the dino bots were creates by spike and spark plug along with prowl because all Autobots and decepticons run off energon and they were running low and Autobots were very weak so they created the dino bots so they didn't run off energon and they saved the day and the reason they stay in dino form is apparently they r stronger in dino form

Tom's first attack should have been 9 -1 for armour but Ben put 9 on instead of 8 then didn't realise when healing it and put it to 8. I am I correct that was wrong?

Ben if you see this watch "transformers prime" I would highly recommend it. No idea why it was on the hub/(nickelooden like channel) because it was awesome it had everything!!!! innuendos, explosions, fucking amazing story and acting. I watch G1 and the unicron trilogy and would have to say it is on par with those. Sadly The Hub canceled it do to it no being more child friendly.

the problem is that the game in general has become 50 million abilities then your opponent cant do anything because literally breathing has been blocked by some card affect
