one of the unique things is that some rare kero products featured the ker-ons transformers as the first live action movie variations in Universal Studios
@kid143465 ай бұрын
I feel like the biggest flaw is that buildable toys are kind of banking on being interchangeable or customizable. Meanwhile transformers have to fit together in very specific ways that are not conducive to customizing or making your own. If you notice the bionical lines that kind of have different modes to transform between are way more universally designed like the Bohrok.
@samurexatlas73734 ай бұрын
But if we had stuff like the Junkions and Rock bots, they could easily keep that customization.

I got the one where only the left half of Starscream's helmet is painted black while the other is left in bare grey plastic.

16:10 I don't think that's fair to Hasbro. Hasbro wanted to do multiple transformers characters and devoted resources to multiple sets while being inexperienced in that field while Lego only has to worry about 1 Transforming character at a time and really nail that one set. Right now the 2 out are very G1 based so the transformations are going to be very simple.

Bee was quite a step up from Optimus though Those new pieces were definitely a help but it’s so tight you feel like your going to snap him Also they really screwed up on Optimus’s back thankfully it’s an easy fix but I don’t know why they bothered to include the triangular pieces if it caused such unreliable stability

As a kid I had the Kreo large Bumblebee set and the smaller buildable Bumblebee and Optimist Prime sets. I actually got two of the same smaller Bumblebee sets because my family didn’t realize I already had one, so for second one I felt free to put stickers whatever I wanted on the car mode. I still have a lot of the pieces to this day mixed in with my Lego and Mega Bloks pieces and even use them from time to time for other builds. I’m one of those Lego collators who only builds the original set once and eventually just take the sets apart for custom builds and never rebuilt the original set again because the pieces are now scattered in different boxes and different builds.

If Hasbro had collaborated with Lego when it made Bionicles and Hero Factory, it could’ve use the pie es made for that franchise to create great toys. They could’ve probably even found a way to transform them as well. I have both and the results have honestly been very interesting.

i kind of admire kreo. I could just be nostalgic(I was in the 4th grade when the first sets in 2011 came out) but a lot of the big sets were cool and they were getting creative with some of their sets(granted, its because they had to compete with ninjago and chima at the time). With construct-bots, the plastic quality was so bad. Its like authentics transformers materials, where the attachment points and joints were very thin, so it was easy for them to snap off after light play. Also kreo and construct bots loved rubber ball joints...which isn't very durable in the test of time.

(The mini-con was neat though.) I was pretty excited when I got my first Kre-O at Comic Con (The Optimus promo they gave out.) because I just wanted regular LEGO minifigs of Transformers. I did end up eventually buying that big Bumblebee KRE-O set years later and let me just say the instructions are MISERABLE. And the bricks barely stick together. That being said, Kreons are pretty sick. Nicely articulated while still looking pretty LEGO-ish. The Star Trek sets are pretty rad too.

When my brother got himself a Cliffjumper Construct-Bot and i wanted one myself so a few weeks later my mom took me to Target and i saw that the both Bumblebee and Predaking were on sale but my mom said i could only pick one so i choose Bumblebee as he was my favorite character and when i finished building it, i took it EVERYWHERE! The store, my grandma's house, my uncle's house, my house, the park and after 3 years of it bringing me joy and happiness... The ball joints on its arm and leg broke off and i was devastated as hell and i cried man. I ended up putting it back in it's packaging and i don't know where it is, maybe my mom threw it out thinking it was empty but idk, all i know is that it brought me pure joy and i will never forget that, maybe i should buy one in the future if they're still being made
