Then they made it to the big screen in 2023’s film: Rise of the Beast. In the movie, the Terrorcons are the enforcers of the monster planet, Unicron. With Scourge as team leader, Nightbird as swift assassin, and Battletrap, a brutal bruiser.

I thought the movie was ok. Shame the Terrorcons were nothing more than enforcers/henchmen, & Scourge was just your basic generic TF main antagonist. Throw in the fact the only Predacon we got were Scorponok drones & Freezer who looks like the Fossilizer figures from the WFC Kingdom toyline. The final nail in the coffin? You had THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY to introduce BW Megatron! I even thought up the perfect dialogue: “Rest easy while you can Autobots & Maximals. For you are about to experience, oh how shall I put this? Difficulties of your own! YES!!!”

I always had a soft spot for these guys. I always loved Call of the Primitives because it gave the Terrorcons and Predacons something to do. That's really clever of the Energon comic to reconcile the difference between their individual Terrorcons with the cartoon's Terrorcon drones by giving the Terrorcons a clone army. Wonder if they were inspired by Beast Machines. Great overview! I actually didn't even realize that the Terrorcons had _any_ connections between continuities.

Hun-Grrr is a badass in the old Devil's Due Transformers/GI Joe comics, one of the few places he got to shine a little bit. He's featured prominently (at least for the terrorcons) in Volume 3 with the whole Serpent O.R. story arc.

In 2023's rise of the beasts, the terrorcons made their debut in live action but with a different roster consisting of scourge, battletrap, and nightbird. The 3 of them together were very vicious, merciless, and formidable adversaries by movie standards.

No. Look how sucky the figures were back then. An animalistic combiner would not have been feasible. Plus it would have had to deviate from the Scramble City style combiner, which is the standard. Only non-Scramble City style combiners are Devestator, Raiden, Predaking and Road Caeser. Monstructor I’m not sure on.

I think the same way, I mean, sure...giant robot combiners are the Classic, and will always be a part of Transformers universe, but five cybertronians combining in one Beast form is something I would like to see, like the original idea for the Predacons in Transformers the Movie...Yes, we did see something like this type of "beast combiner" in Transformers Last Knight, but it was kinda off screen combining, and let's be honest, it's a Bay-verse... Terrorcon's original concept seems perfect for this,...and I would love to see Kaiju version of Abominus, same goes for the Seacons and their combination,..Piranhacon.

I loved how in the latest Legends comics they depicted the G1 Terrorcons as actually being spies from the Quintessons. With Infernocus who worked for Quintessa being a remold of Prime's Abomynus; and the Energon Terrorcons who worked for Alpha Q, it makes it feel like things have gone full circle.

With the new rise of the beast movie, I feel like at this point any transformer that is connected to unicron or is a herald of unicron should be called a Terracon and the original G1 terrorcons should be called the Horrorcons. Because at this point, the G1 Horicon’s are basically mercenary’s. At this point I think the name fits more with the G1 terrorcons. because terrorcons has been mostly used as a term for any transformer connected to unicron.

The terrocons from g1 is my favorite out of all the other terrocons In the other transformers series. And I always wonder, why Abominus isn't like Predaking that is tough. Because computron, and other combiners take him on. They are able to beat him.

Watsonian reason: Abominus is pretty much mindless, while Predaking's mind has a singular purpose. This means the skill of his component minds carries over in a way it doesn't for Abominus. Doylist reason: Predaking's toy is bigger. Actual reason: Predaking loses all the dang time, what are you talking about?

If you're unaware, the term comes from Sherlock Holmes, where the stories were written in-universe by John Watson as accounts of his adventures, but were written in real life by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to make money. So "Watsonian and Doylist" means two ways of thinking about a story, from the perspective of "why did this happen in the story" and "why did the writer make it this way." For instance, in the movie, you have all the new characters like Hot Rod and Ultra Magnus and Kup, who are supposed to have been around for a while but have never actually appeared before then. The Watsonian reason is that they've been around, and we just never met them for various reasons. The Doylist reason is that they simply hadn't been designed by then.

I think a good way to tie the G1 terrorcons with the Prime zombies would be to make them re-animated predacons, like the ones seen in the Movie-length finale. They already are fantastical creatures in alternate mode, AND actual predacons in the Beast Hunters toy-line, so there wouldn't be any issue! Maybe even add some mystical power to turn them in a combiner, even.

By the way, instead of the "ghoul" of Breakdown, it was planned to introduce another stunticon into the Transformers: Prime franchise, Dead End, who was supposed to be a reasonable terrorcon, that is, a reasonable zombie decepticon. But this idea was cut out as well as an even scarier one: to return Bruticus to the same series, that is, all the combacticons, but in the form of "Frankenstein" - according to the idea, some Decepticons-parts of Bruticus should have been dead, but Megatron, instead of disassembling him into living and dead combacticons, assembled them all into Bruticus, and connected them with dark energon, creating a monstrous combiner, parts of which are alive and suffering, and other parts are zombies.

I wrote a fanfiction about 5 Autobot OC's that I made up, 1 of them being an inspiration of a custom CW figure I did, that could combine into a gestalt. In the fanfic I did two chapters only focusing on the Decepticons, mainly Megatron. He and four others: Barricade, Starscream, Soundwave and Full-Tilt (Trypticon car toy if anyone remembers him) traveled to the planet Animatros that was the home of the Maximal and Predacon Transformers since they are animal based. And I sort of did a kind of backstory of the Terrorcons were once Predacons and not Decepticons. Here they protected an ancient temple and battled Megatron to which he defeated them and swore their allegiance to him. And in the progress Megatron changed their Predacon insignias to Decepticon insignias by putting purple glowing orbs that were emitting from his hands (much like how Megatron tried to with Inferno in the Energon cartoon). Then they would serve him loyally and they fought off other Maximals and Predacons when Megatron and his three lackeys (Full-Tilt guarded the ship) were in the temple and then Scourge (Cybertron Scourge) appeared but was shocked to see that his own Predacon followers had turned on him and his people (here in the fanfic I sort of made him the leader of the Predacons and the Maximals....sounds stupid, I know, but he was the leader in the Cybertron cartoon of the Jungle Planet and its civilisation) and just wiped the floor of Scourge's bodyguards Undermine, Brimstone and Wreckloose (he did not appear in the show but I gave him the chance of serving him as one of his bodyguards) while Megatron wiped the floor of Scourge. I know it sounds stupid with them being Predacons from the beginning before becoming Decepticons but I just let my stupid imagination take over lmfao

Always loved Hun-Gurrr. Loved the fact he was a greedy bastard. Lol! Love funny Decepticon profiles. Abominus was always my favourite combiner - Artic white and shocking pink. Certainly stood out from the other combiners.
