Transformers Top 10 Combiners

Transformers has been around since 1984, With the Movies, Cartoons, comics and toy lines. There have been an extremely large number of characters and concepts that the writers have reused throughout thirty years of media. A well-known example are combiner's, are across most of the transformers media and have made large appearances in the movies. so here are the top 10 best combiner's from all transformers media.

Devastator will always be my favorite for several reasons. a) He was the first to appear in G1 b) He was one of the few G1 combiners that had 6 members instead of 5, at least that I can think of c) To me, his individual members seemed well thought out and had more character development, as opposed to later teams that usually focused on the combined robot, or just the lead robot d) The leader Scrapper, or the one who usually lead, wasn't the usual "torso" bot, but was actually the leg, which was different from all the other combiners. e) The Constructicons, by far, got the most screen time of all the combiners.

Predaking has been known to be the perfect combiner. They all share a perfect connection for their love of the hunt. They have no disputes he looks great and individually 😎

I personally like Optimus Maximus, who had Optimus, Ironhide, Prowl, Mirage, Sunstreaker, and sometimes Hot Rod to make Optimus Maximus.

I had Devastator as a toy when I was a kid it was just my favorite combiner especially since when I was a kid I had a fascination with construction work and since each one of them transform into a construction worker vehicle it became my favorite toys

A fun list brought back memories for sure! Though I do not share your love for Computron, probably my least favorite. Mainly that is becaues of the way they portrayed his decision making in the G1 cartoon. I always found it too annoying. Anyway good video and like a said a fun list!

Personally I like Computron, Defensor, and Superion all 3 are Autobot Combiners which I had 1 Hot Spot who was the leader of the Protectobots.

The Protectobots, Stunticons, and Airialbots have six team members each now due to the Combiner Wars toyline. The Protectobots gained Rook and the Airialbots gained Alpha Bravo. I don’t remember the name of the sixth Stunticon member.

The Technobots combination was ok but they were always focused on calculating each move which made the combiner slow, that was a key element in a combiner is the combined intellect and personality to create one, if there are conflicts, the combiner would not be stable forcing the combining autobots or deceptions to pull apart

Three things.. A) Breakddown in TF:Prime: He was captured by MECH and expeimented on, his body later used to turn Silas himself into a cyborg. Later, Silas tried to hook up with the Decepticons...and in turn was taken and experimented on, culminating in Starscream and Knockout using dark energon on him, turning him into an energon vampire creature. He did *infect* Airaachnid, but I forget his ultimate fate in that episode. B) I thought TF:Zone was it's own series in Japan, not just a special? C) You forgot to mention the other unusual thing about Devastator...being the first combiner, period, he predates the 'Scramble City' concept in Japan, where combiner limbs could be swapped around between units (and in many cases on the same unit, an arm becoming a leg and vice versa). (I'll give you a pass on not mentioning Silverbolt's fear of heights...thoughI do wonder, if you felt the need to mention the re-use of Breakdown's name in Prime, as that version is *not* the Stunticon version...why you didn't also mention Silverbolt's name re-use in Beast Wars/Machines as first a wolf-bird fusion, and then a vulture?)
