War for Cybertron is set on the planet Cybertron, prior to the Transformers' contact with the planet Earth. Robotic in nature, each Transformer has the ability to transform from their robot mode to an alternate form, usually a vehicle, such as a tank or jet. The Transformers are engaged in total civil war with one another. A group of evil Transformers form a splinter group separate from the main faction. Known as the Decepticons, they follow Megatron, their powerful and ruthless leader. The main faction, known as the Autobots, follow the command of Zeta Prime. However, after Zeta Prime is killed in battle, an inexperienced leader named Optimus must take his place and lead the Autobots to victory before Megatron can corrupt the planet, itself a Transformer, with Dark Energon. Both factions have their own campaign, each containing five chapters, and players may choose either to play through first; chronologically, the Decepticon story is the first one, with the Autobot story directly following it.
As always, we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to stitch together a fluid cinematic experience. We hope you enjoy!

My favourite thing about this story is instead of having two distinct storylines; one for Autobot, the other for Decepticons that take place in alternate timelines that don’t mesh properly, we frequently cut between the two factions and see one succeed while the other fails. It gives the narrative a great push/pull dynamic that really makes it feel like this is a war.

Kinda wish we got a TRUE game sequel. Prime apparently links them, but idk... I like the idea of a G1-esc continuation, since that was the general idea to begin with. Rise tried connecting these games with the Bayverse, and that just didn't work on so many accounts.

You know what else would be great? A remastered version of this. Better graphics, the multiplayer comes back,....Ok I didn't play much of the multiplayer since. Well I was 6 and I wasn't able to play this at the age of 12. So I never got to play the multiplayer. The issue wasn't the game. It was the 360 disk tray scanner not working. But with the remastered. It would be made by FANS. Not a company that wants money. And absolutely not a company that says they are "fans" of the Cybertron games. TRUE fans are us! We played this game until we memorized everything about the game. Now since I was young and at the time didn't understand the term "Hard" I only played on normal. Once I get my Xbox 360 fixed that's gonna change. I have already played through the Halo games, I've played through Gears Of War, i've already gotten started on Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare. Yeah. I think "Hard" is gonna be easier. I never dared to try it because Normal was already hard. But now. I think it's gonna be breeze. Or i'm going to eat my own words. But when that happens? Who the fuck knows. I either need a new Xbox 360, or get mine fixed. Till All Are One.

@@johnprime1147 not sure if you’ve done it yet but hard mode is fairly easy if you know what you’re doing. I’d definitely memorize where all the over shields are and the best guns to use are the ion blaster, fusion canon, magma frag launcher and the scrapmaker.

@@Br0ck3n Metroplex is alot larger than omega, when comparing models of megatron to Omega supreme megatron barely comes up to Omega's ankle. Trypticon is also much larger than Omega, at least five to six time's omega's size. Then consider how trypticon was a massive but closed in space station you could fly around in the 2nd to last level. This would make metroplex a walking city double or triple trypticon's size when comparing model sizes.

@@GeorgioArmoni IMHO, it was a tad disappointing, combat-wise and gameplay-wise. WfC, despite the more limited arsenal, felt like it gave players more freedom for their loadouts - you could wield Rocket Launcher and X16 Scrap-Maker. FoC won't let you do that with its Primary/Heavy weapon-class system. Also, players could double jump over obstacles; even a regular jump was good to get over chest-height hurdles. In FoC you can't do that. Also, they removed the "load into check-point" thing from WfC - that made already short sections (like Bruticus on the deck of the flying transport in "Combaticons Combine!") feel much shorter.
