I hooked a 9 volt battery up to a small transformer and touched the secondary wires and it knocked the piss out of me,how do you explain that? Seriously
@adeyemibabatunde18142 жыл бұрын
May be 1. Immediately after connecting primary wiinding to 9v battery, a voltage is temporarily induced in the secondary coil at a ratio. Higher voltage may be induced, causing shock, just once 2. When the 9v battery connection is not stable, pulsating/varying dc at right frequency may induce secondary voltage It is when stable dc voltage is connected that further voltage won't be induced

Hello I would like to ask something. The current is changing reaction all the time so does that not mean that it is not moving in any direction since it reverses all the time?

Here's a very basic explanation: To generate electricity you need 3 things: a magnetic field, a conductor, and a relative motion between the two. In a generator that relative motion is caused by the rotating magnets in the rotor of the generator. Which induces (aka generates) a voltage into the windings (the conductor). In a transformer that relative motion is produced by the expanding and collapsing magnetic field in the primary winding, causing voltage to be induced (aka generated) in the secondary winding. If the primary winding were DC voltage then there would not be the expanding and collapsing magnetic field, therefore no relative motiin, thus no voltage induced (generated) in the secondary winding.

Very GOOD JOB but, you did leave some persons down the wrong road in and important way DC to DC power supplies. I do suggest that you also ad this Dc to DC and DC to Dc lastly to DC to DC meaning that you Reference the Current value s Small current to large current then Large current to Small current and lastly DC to DC as a coupling for feed-back and power regulators such as those of power supplies. Also coupling for job control as in Elevators motor drive system of these units. Be sure to show it after the transformer this will save some work if shown at the same time otherwise a quick reminder of AC transformer actions.

Connect a DC power source to a relay circuit then connect it up to a step up transformer. This should give you the higher voltage. Then connect the output of the transformer to a full bridge rectifier and a capacitor to the DC output of the rectifier to purify the DC. There you have it a DC to DC step up converter.

Actually transformers can work on DC power. A ferrite Toroid will work if you hook up an led with power in series with one coil. The second coil will mirror the power output on a 1:1 toroid trans former. So you can run a similar led though the voltage and current may be less and also polarity will be reversed to the original circuit. You can't hook up a coil to a battery straight as it will get too hot. So you need a load in series to prevent this. The coil inductance increases power. But it may be possible to make step up and step down with series load dc transformers. It seems to work best in non magnetized Ferrites so far as I know. The other condition for this that the coil had to be bifillar.
