Don’t take the comments too harshly, some people are really rude in their replies. At the end of the day, this is your career, and if you don’t make money, this channel will shutdown for good someday. That’s just how it is. It’s a job not a hobby, and people need to learn to respect that at the end of the day, you need food on the table to do what you love, or you won’t be doing anything at all! One thing you need to learn early in this game is that having bases all over the place is a good idea. Basically, every time to go exploring, pick up what you need for a new base on the way there. They are pretty cheap. It also helps to add a couple of Storage Boxes and a Fabricator.

Having Patreon content is fine, but why not have it be *early* access instead of *exclusive* access? There's no reason you can't dribble out the release of the patreon stuff as normal videos starting a month or so after the entire series is over. Doing so means you don't have to double-up on video-making (keeping YT and Patreon current) and you still have an incentive for being a patron (getting those videos asap instead of waiting).

Ouch this being a Patreon exclusive really stings. Obviously you can see the interest here and the thumbnail excuse seems pretty poor (no problem making a bunch of timberborn thumbnails). I totally understand stuff like video early access for patreon but not paywalling whole series. Plus posting the first episode here and waiting all the way to the end just to say it’s a patreon exclusive feels like a money grab and a slap in the face to your supporters.

Wow, the internet still finds its ways to surprise me sometimes... its very sad indeed to know that its not going to continue here because algorythm stuff and majority of ppl not watching, but what makes me even more sad it to see all these ppl calling themselves regulars unsubbing and some even being quite rude as soon as Matt announced it. Maybe its a weird take but must be quite hard to have youtube channel that plays both single videos and series at the same time. Matt, u already give us a lot of content, so do what must do to keep paddy well fed and the editors locked on the basement. I didnt stayed because a single game, but for the whole package. All the good series are becoming patreon only. This channel used to be fun but now everything is under a paywall. What if someone can’t afford a monthly subscription EDIT: After reading the comments I would like to add that I’m not trying to be mean or negative. I’m just saying that most of the people that love to watch your videos can’t seem to anymore as most good series that at least I see such as cities skylines and now the series that I wanted to watch is ending up there. And me personally, can’t pay to watch as I just haven’t got the money to spare and so many others. I generally use the 3,2,1 rule on Planet Crafter 3 Iron 2 Titanium and 1 silicone then go and explore the area, that way you can pop down a living quarters with a door quickly at oxygen limit, then deconstruct and move on till you find "the spot" where you want to build :)
