Matty, the effort and attention to detail that you and the whole team put into every project is both obvious and outstanding. However, one thing that sets you apart from the vast majority of others, is that you are a perfectionist and you obviously care. You even had attention to detail, in washing the road down, after the grab wagon had been and that just says so much about the work ethic of you all. Simply amazing.

@Brockstonepavingpros9 күн бұрын
Thank you very much Roy. I appreciate it. I’ve explained before, that wouldn’t be on option on this job as it would churn up the ground as we are going across other peoples gardens and the terrain wouldn’t work to board out as it’s severely undulating. Plus, the size of the machine you’d get in wouldn’t be any bigger than a wheel barrow like we’re using and they are very slow to walk behind. On this occasion a wheel barrow and hard graft is what is needed 💪🏼

A lot of customers don’t see the graft that go’s in to digging out ,making up foundations & retaining walls. It’s massive amounts of work to get that finish everyone likes to see. 70% of the graft and the cost you don’t get to see. you must be sick of barrows on that job. My mate has just finished my garden with a similar job using reclaimed York stone 3,2,1 pack. It wasn’t easy making it work with all the odd sizes. Great work guys

That’s a long old trot from front to back and again & again & again 😮 still all good exercise 😂 seriously how on earth do price something like that ? Yes you can estimate sq meterage to get rid of but then you hit that bedrock and boom thats a load more work and shifting there can only be so much the Client can afford as extras. Can you imagine if you didn’t have such an amazing bunch of guys working with you 😮 brilliant video as always.
@Brockstonepavingpros6 күн бұрын
I don’t always get it right, on this I underestimated the height of the wall on the left, and the bedrock was tough too. Some things you just have to absorb and carry on unless it’s an unexpected change or alteration

Just curious because I’ve never had to build on rock where I’m from but what’s the purpose of taking solid rock away to add concrete? Couldn’t you build on top of the rock as it’s a solid surface that won’t move?
@idontthinkso6668 күн бұрын
Doesn't it seem obvious that if they DIDN'T do it, that they COULDN'T do it? Consider taking a geology class to learn about rocks. What they encountered was a sandy sedimentary ledge, not an outcropping of solid granite. Hardly a solid foundation for a wall.
@Brockstonepavingpros8 күн бұрын
Fair question- It was better to be safe and take it out so it’s uniform thickness of foundation so we’re sure it’s done right and no weak spots.
