Bruno Zamborlin is a technologist, researcher, musician and designer. He's been working on a joint PhD in computational technologies between Paris and London, exploring new methods for gestural interaction and its applications in performing arts and the creation of new musical instruments. Bruno is interested in the topic of Interactive Machine Learning and the possibility of allowing the artist to interact with the entire supervised learning process and the creation and design of his own gesture vocabulary. The early results of this research is Mogees, which uses contact microphones to turn any touchable surface into a musical instrument. Bruno made a video illustrating Mogees that's had more then 300,000 views, furthering his mission to open up gestural vocabulary to impromptu actions and personalisation.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

When the other guy was playing the front wheel's spokes, is it just me or did the notes not change? He changed to other spoke and other gestures... but I kept hearing the rhythmic bass notes...

seems like most of you never taking a trip with a shroom.. you wouldnt understand until you are in trance, every single notes of every fucking type of music means so much, just as marley said in his music "one good thing about music, when it hit you, you feel no pain"

Yes, I agree with @Achiox this is a little bit silly. In reality this already exists, and can be used on any resonate surface - the bike is just a diversion, as you see with the table top. The main difference is the how much a surface vibrates, enabling you to cover wider frequency ranges, or other parameters (sound choices etc).

...or you could just download the Impaktor app for iPhone and hook it up to a contact mic. This is NOT new information or technology. Looks like a nice guy, but come on, you can already do this on an iPhone. Not to mention this sort of tech has been kicking around in DAW software for years.

Horrible speaker, took way to long to say the same things over and over, entirely unrehearsed, the idea is useless, the notes didn't change with the location of the taps as he would have you believe (the notes changed themselves after every tap), please don't give these people your money.

What is the point of that ? There are already so many great sophisticated music instruments. Just to play beautiful music on them is required .... To create some sounds on bicycle or plate makes no sense to me ... apart from children game

***** Because real music instrument created by special manufacturers sound much better. Why should you limit yourself to driving a car invented and made by somebody else ? Create your own and drive.
