each storage box should have a LED and door switch installed in them, It is life changing opening one of those doors at night and being able to see everything inside it.

I was just about to mention the same thing. I also cringed a little when Robby asked Darr if he wanted the inside colour matched. The best situation on a service truck box is having white on the inside of each compartment, so even a small light will make it look like daylight inside when in there at night.

In the next scary game or movie, they ought to take advantage of this by having you fetch something in the lit storage box at night then when you turn around half blinded and didn't see the boogieman come at you, boom, cheap jumpscare Or if the truck is abandoned recently and you come across it, the boxes could be open and be lit up by the led light from within, and the wind can make the lids flutter, throwing the eerie led light this way and that.

The utility beds hold up. I have had several of them on my service trucks. And have worked in remote locations off road and never had a crack or had the bed flex out of shape. Great quality.

My oldest son worked for knapheide for 17 years building and painting and installing those beds, made in Quincy Illinois. Knapheide started out building wagons in the 1800s

I lifted my steel tray off and loaded on a new aluminium tray with a fibreglass canopy. Used every jack and jack stand I had. Every saw horse and piece of scaffolding and every ladder. Was a process and a half. I should have just hired a crane 😂

Color coordination makes it look nice, but I think it's a good idea to leave the inside of the boxes white so it's easier to see tools in low light.

@@deltavee2 Probably depends on the brand. I've used Raptor on my truck, where I mixed color into the paint before applying it on the truck.

Robby!! I believe some models you can now get the auto lock and unlock from the truck remote in the Knapheide. They are really good beds! I have had RKI and Omaha beds they had bad latch mechanisms. This should be a good bed for Pop Darr!! Will look awesome with your groups paint skills!!

HILLBILLY! you made my day! I thought I was the only one that loosened bolts until they feel loose but then can't turn them by hand more than one revolution.....then you have to go loosen it more with the wrench. Good to know that the struggle is REAL! HA!
