I don't think thats a fire blanket. Looks like a survival blanket. I am a welder and a camper. I have never seen one shine like that. Take it out and give it a test with a lighter. I hope I'm wrong.

I double checked with the manufacturer and was told the outside is reflective fireproof insulation. I will definitely hit it with my propane torch when I get home to be safe
