She looks amazing now, so beautiful and shiny! It's particularly great to see how even old animals have such amazing possibilities to recover and regenerate, and still live wonderful years. Blessings to you and all your animals.

What beautiful transformation! And you talk about her progress! But....If she were mine, I would definitely get an animal communicator.. Why? Well I like to hear the animals story,told from their prospective. We always seem to know what is best for them. We do the best we can, so hearing what the animal has to say will also help a lot. And often nobody had listen to them ever. It is so amazing to be able to hear their thoughts. Sometimes its about pain or grief or longing. I think she would be greatful if she had the chance to tell you her story. Bless you all for the work you do with the animals!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

why is it that someone like me that loves horses has always wanted a horse but never have had the opportunity to even touch one cant love one because i dont live in the right place and yet someone is aloud to do this ? i asked a sanatory once and they said no just because i would need full livery even though i could go up there every day and learn and help with other horses . its not fair

You would be correct in part. The most common causes of equine lordosis also known as Swayback. Loss of muscle tone, (in non specific genetic cases), of varying degrees of swayback, is the major factor of developing lordosis, even in sound, active horses. Muscle tone loss can happen with injuries or when a horse is somewhat inactive, in retirement, etc. Cases of lordosis are rare and mostly occurs in older horses and broodmares with multiple, full term pregnancies. Mild cases of swayback respond well to therapies, more severe cases can be managed, not rendering all of the equines useless. Loss of muscle tone (topline and abdominal muscles) Stretching or injury of the ligaments that stabilize the spine Genetic basis (more commonly occurs in American Saddlebred horses) Injury or birth defects of the vertebrae of the back Back injuries, such as malformations early in life or a fracture, may also cause swayback. Spinal conformation abnormalities can occur due to malposition of the developing fetus prior to birth or injury during the birthing process, Swayback is more commonly found in the American Saddlebred vs other breeds, many cases are caused by a recessive gene that can be passed to offspring. In a group of 305 Saddlebred horses whose back conformation was measured, 7% were determined to have swayback. Saddlebreds with heritable swayback (having the genetic component) may manifest conformational changes at as early as 18 months of age. The location of the genes that may cause heritable swayback has been identified. Swayback associated with heritable birth defects has also been identified in Haflinger horses. Three foals sired by the same stallion were born with swayback and evaluated to have similar deformities of several vertebrae.

Why didn't you give this starving horse a hay net? One apple and two handfuls of hay was not enough to start her on. She would not have been scratching the floor searching for any food on the floor if you had just given her a hay net.
@TenerifeHorseRescue4 ай бұрын
All our horses have hay and straw, sometimes they also check on the ground because it's their nature. In that part of the video she finished her food and she was just walking around seaching for more! We cannot give unlimited food to any of our animals - they would eat non-stop and affect their health.

Over feeding can cause more issues in horses. Small amounts every 3-4 hours is better so their digestive system can slowly digest and fully absorb nutrients. This was mentioned somewhere online after WWII when soldiers returning home were so underweight they were started on broth then foods like oats in small amounts .... to slowly acclimate their stomachs ... I met a former WWII soldier whose stomach was such a mess his doctor back then prescribed oatmeal and eggs for a year until the soldier's stomach returned to "normal."
