I really enjoyed this video because like you, I spend hours photographing the interplay between light and the movement of water. My favourite scene is a small local stream where, in springtime, the fresh leaves are backlit by the sun and the reflections on the surface of the stream turn the water to liquid emerald - it's magical.

Still bingeing and loving the videos and podcast. I, too, spend hours photographing water. The scene changes from each moment to the next - like the man said, "Panta rhei" - everything flows.

The seagull reminded me of a local news story on someone deliberately feeding pigeons downtown. There are a lot of pigeons there looking for food just like seagulls near areas by the sea. Thank you for another great video and inspiration! :)

Indeed. I’d think of water falls and such. But never looked closely at kinda calm water. Luckily I have a medium telephoto lens for that ending at 400mm equivalent. 😊

I loved the images, Kim. They are fascinating as usual! The idea of spending more time with the subject caught my attention and rings absolutely true. I imagine that (as we would do it with people we love), you enter a relationship with your focus of attention and, at some point, you reach this incredible moment of intimacy where your subject opens up to you fully. Now, you are ready to receive them with acceptance, appreciation, and awe. Beautiful. I love the depth of your interaction with your subjects, Kim. Very inspiring on many levels.😊

Hi Kim, thank you for sharing those beautiful moments. The sea is forever changing, from second to second, and for me is a delight in all its moods - quiet or sublime. My favourite of your photographs, Kim, was the solo bubble resting on the ripples, its inner edges sparkling with every movement; a world within a world.
