Yo Ben! Just came across your channel. Love the R8, recently just got mine as well. Will be looking into some mods in the future. Ive actually gone with the airbag team before to get my seatbelts done for my a35 amg, very good people

Looking good Ben 👌🏼 Defo ditch the Halfords mats 😆 I always add the chrome ring/ surround on the light switch dial. You can also look to swap the light switch as well for another VAG equiv with added chrome accents if preferred. Love the carbon interior bits - more required 👍🏼

Yes just pull out. You have to remove the speaker grill as there’s a bolt behind it

Why didn’t you go for the a Alcantara airbag cover to go with the steering wheel cover, that would have looked mint. Specially with black rings in it. It’s looking good though, love the seat belts. 👍🏻

It was on the car when I bought it. Wouldn’t recommend! Hated the cheap bolted on carbon base. Instead find one that bolts to the Oem spoiler. Then get it coded so it doesn’t raise 👌🏼

Ben as a keen DIY mechanic it kind of justifies the ownership of this R8 as you can maintain and modify as you see fit saving money on labour. Nice touches on the R8 but it is annoyingly antisocial, a bit surprised your neighbours have no bricked it with that nice brick 🧱 behind your car 🤪

Looking good Ben. I would add more carbon fiber as you mentioned. Add the driver side swoosh and cf handles. The red piping in the floor mats go well with the red stitched steering wheel and seatbelts so I would leave the Mats alone. Nice job on the spoiler too. Much Nicer than before.
