The VW T6.1 is an incredibly popular van full of all the latest VW technology, but the small sound system is easily overwhelmed by road noise when out and about. Considering the mileage most vans cover, the audio experience during that time on the road is very important!
In the base system, you get a set of tweeters in the A-pillar and 5" drivers low down in the doors, running directly from the head unit. The doors themselves a very large voids, with lots of bare metal and plastic when can rattle and let sound escape.
We are upgrading the system with an Audison Voce component set, which will be compared against the stock system in an upcoming Sound Off video. The Audison Voce AV1.1 tweeters are a compact component utilising a neodymium magnet to provide a powerful tweeter with very accurate frequency response in a small package that will fit in a factory location. The Audison Voce AV6.5 drivers are Audison's mid-tier driver, which provide a high level of clarity and mid bass in a stock location in the door, to be housed in a 3D printed speaker ring.
To increase the all round audio experience, we are adding an Audison 10" compact subwoofer below the drivers seat in a custom sub box enclosure, which allows for a stealthy mount position of the speaker with excellent bass transfer throughout the cabin, a very popular solution on VW T5 and T6 sound upgrades.
To run the entire system, two Audison Class D amplifiers are being installed - an Audison Prima 8.9Bit and an Audison Prima F1D. The AP8.9 will be running the speaker components fully active, bridging the channels to boost overall power output. The AP F1D is then running the subwoofer providing incredible power output for the bass frequencies. The AP 8.9 bit also provides 9 channels of processing power to connect the system together, allowing for time alignment and full tuning of the system.
We will also be soundproofing the front doors, as all 3 layers of the T6 door are large, hollow expanses of material. By soundproofing these with the Skinz 3mm layer it creates a much better environment for the sound system to work in, as well reducing that vast amount of road noise experienced, creating an all round better experience when on the road.

Hello, Very interresting vidéo. Can you tell me the price for a kind of installation please ? My Van is a VW T6.1 California 2021 and I would like to isolate my doors like in this video, 2 new speakers on the doors, 2 tweeters on the front, an subwoofer under the seat and the amplifiers. Do you have an approximate price for that ? I am ready to come in the UK for the installation. Thanks.

Yes, but because the area we are applying is clean and we heat the sound proofing and roll it on, it won't come off plus the product is designed to do that
