I do have a question , sorry if you answered this before but how come they are all Opel and not Vauxhall ?? I am considering an Astra gsi as a part time car (hobby) I already have a clean low mileage Corsa VXR so I fancy another to go with it . I have always preferred the mk4 to the mk5 Astra 👌

i got an 2003 opel ( vauxhall) omega i was looking for a coilover set but they are really really hard to find... im running bilsteins shocks at the moment with 30mm lowered springs... but i would like a stiffer ride without going lower.. as its a daily but also i like to have fun "spiritual"drives and it rolled a lot on the soft OEM springs.. this bc custom coilover kit would be usefull but they only make them for an corsa, astra and vectra :( witch sucks for me....

Would be interesting to see a long term review of the BC’s. 🤔 I did look at these before I got the Bilstien B12 kit. My mate had them on his Mazda and although they were very good coilovers I always felt the car was a bit skittish under braking and the ride quality was just a little to firm.

He has the wrong springs for the road, you can custom choose what springs you want and Bc will set the valves in the shocks for that setup.

What dampening settings would you run in a fwd hatchback for daily use fast road use / track use front and back? Im asking because im experimenting with my bc coilovers and dont know if i should make the rear stiffer or the front? Or have the same dampening all around
@casemodder893 жыл бұрын
Just push it to the limits and see where it goes. If its loose on the back stiffen up the front and vice versa. Going 8's and 0's for a start will help. And then let it rip into corners (without traffic of course). Your bum-gauge will point you in the right direction.
@savvasalexandridis77923 жыл бұрын
@@casemodder89 I've noticed before i installed the coilovers the back was pretty loose (oversteer) now I've set it to 14 clicks from soft front and back but haven't pushed it much. 8s and 0s you mean 8 front and 0 back?
@casemodder893 жыл бұрын
@@savvasalexandridis7792 nono... not the clicks. Drive in 8's and 0's shape. The 8 shows how it behaves during load transfer left to right and the 0 shows how it behaves in acceleration/deceleration out of/into corners. Just play a bit on an empty parking lot.

Iv got a z20lel and it starts vibrating anything above 15 mph changed the front bearing and it’s still there,still goes away when I turn left any ideas anyone??would it be worth while changing the rear left bearing??or am I victim to the m32 gearbox issues lol.
@casemodder893 жыл бұрын
Vibration disapear in left corners means left bearing. Could be the front one too. But always change both per axle. Mostly you can feel the slack in the wheel when its jacked up. Just wiggle the tyre.
@Dan587113 жыл бұрын
@@casemodder89 thanks for the info the front left bearing has already been changed though,can it sometimes be the opposite then the right bearing going away on left turn??after watching a few vids it seems that sometimes that can be the case.
@casemodder893 жыл бұрын
@@Dan58711 i never had it rattling about when On-load but that does not mean anything. Could be a rare phenomenon and should be checked aswell. Drive shaft (outter joint) also does a grinding sound when its on the way out. Mostly in acceleration/deceleration. Not in coast. That one is a pretty dirty job with all that MoS2 grease on ya hands... be warned. 😄
@Dan587113 жыл бұрын
I was thinking about the possibility of the drive shaft as I said it is constant over about 15 part from the left turns or going over bumps lol and I am not bothered about a bit of grease mate,As long as I’m not gettin a headache everytime I drive the bloody thing lmao😂
